Raise to Wake is a cool feature, however I would prefer to have Double Tap to Wake instead.

An example: if I have my phone laying on the table I front of me, I have to either pickup the phone (Raise to Wake), press the home button, or press the power button. I would rather just tap the home screen twice to wake the screen. Much easier IMO instead of having to use one of the other 3 ways to wake the phone.

Another example is, while I was driving yesterday I had my phone sitting in the cup holder. Obviously I can't have my eyes on the phone all he time, so instead of having to use the 3 previously mentioned choices to wake the phone, a double tap on the screen would be he easiest way to check for notifications on the lock screen.

Again, this is just my opinion, but I feel DT2W would be a better feature than Raise to Wake.
Wait so you cant be looking at your phone while you are driving but you would double tap it to read notifications while driving? HUH?!?!

Let's just say I haven't turned it off yet. It takes some time for me to remember to just raise it instead of pressing the home key to see what's up on my iPhone.

It does turn on when I don't intend it to, but it also shuts off very quickly when I set it down or reorient it from that special angle.

I don't think it impacts my battery life significantly.

Took me a while to get used to it but now I love it. Battery life seems unaffected. Battery life started out not so good on my 7 but in the last week has suddenly become much better than my 6S. Have no idea why it improved but it did.

I turned it off two days ago. It was annoying how the phone would register so many false-positives and if I really wanted to have my screen turned on, I'd press the home or power button.

I think I've started mastering the art of pressing the home button just enough to turn on the screen but not yet unlock the phone, which also helped in my decision.

I love it. My Seidio case keeps my screen elevated enough so I can keep my 7+ on my desk face down. Picking it up and turning it over is more than enough to activate it to check for the latest messages or texts. I like this feature.

One of the more useful things to come with iPhone 7 for me. Much easier to check the time at night, or during the day to just check if there are any missed notifications. I was used to pressing the home button to light up the screen, but now that the fingerprint sensor is so damn fast raise to wake really is a great addition.

Anyone have an idea as to how much this contributes to battery drain? EDIT: Scratch that, this was posted a few posts ago.

I like it. I also would like a double tap on screen to wake. Mostly when the phone is mounted or laying on the table as the feedback of the home button degrades when laying flat.

Yeah, the phone is so fast it's hard to press the home button and NOT go to the home screen.

I like it. Doesn't seem to affect battery life for me, I've heard others complain of decreased battery life because of it. Like the others here, I'd prefer to have a time adjustment for it, even if it were two or three presets, like 2 or 5 or 8 seconds.

I honestly don't know yet.

Have owned several iPhone models since the 3G, so have been a loyal customer and I'm out of contract now so should've been their ideal target market. We'll see what next year brings.
Next year wont bring back to aux cord. An ancient port used only for something wireless can do. Without the cords.

Due to its emphasis, i expect bluetooth technology will improve drastically in the next year or so

Love it, makes the notifications useful again rather than instant unlock when you used a TouchID registered finger.

I wish that I could put it on a schedule similar to DND. It's great at 3PM when I need to check notifications. Not so great when it's 6AM and it blasts my wife in th face with light as I'm getting ready for work.

I turned it off almost right away. I keep my phone in my left front jeans pocket and every time I'd pull it out the screen was either already turned on or just shutting itself off. So it didn't seem to be working right. I don't mind pushing the button. Oh and I turned off hey Siri too. The thought of my phone always listening to me is creepy.
