I would use one instead of a laptop, I'd love this, 10" screen (would be nice) with either a modified iPhone OS or OSX/Modified OSX.

I'm not sure. It all depends on the methods that Apple implements for input, and how useful the multi-touch meshes with the OS... also the sacrifices I'll have to make for having a tablet rather than a laptop....

Plus I don't want a tablet with the full shiny aluminum back... That would just be terrible for a mid-range device that I'm going to be taking out and putting into my backpack.

For now, my Eee 1000HE suffices. I'm either thinking about moving to a more elegant solution, or to a more large thin and light notebook that has a discrete GPU but still has a switchable graphics solution that promotes good battery life (and not like 5 hours~, more like 7+ at the least with the IGP)....

Currently the 13" MBP doesn't have the switcbhable GPU, and the 15" is just too large for my liking. Plus they're both out of my budget for my portable needs. Maybe Apple will persuade me with their next mobile innovation!

Win Mob 6.5

No ! Windows Mobile 6.5 is not lagging at all.The most welcome improvement to the Windows Mobile OS is the improved finger-friendly look of Windows Mobile 6.5. I like the new Windows Mobile 6.5 interface, specially the new home screen, which is brilliantly executed.

OMG  I just sold my toshiba M400 and I must say, I'm glad it's gone. I hate tablets!

But if anyone should have one, shouldn't it be apple? Aren't they all about design and arts?

My gf's an artist and she drew a few cool pictures on it.
I didn't like it because of it's size. :p (prolly would have kept it if it was 17-inch.) When I design, I need canvas! CANVAS! :D CANVAS! :D CANVAS! :D
(She was so sad to see it go :( ) But I won $425 for it on eBay! :p

I'd love a 7.5" Tablet running touch/iphone OS.

So basically just a larger screened touch, with some extra functionality would be nice.

Wireless N for starters, firewire, USB 3.0, more capacity, HD screen just off the top of my head. But I wouldn't want full fledged OS X, because I wouldn't use it like a laptop.

I'd use it as more of a PMP. Films on the go, holidays and that. I currently use my touch as a PMP, but I'm forever wishing I had more capacity and a larger high def screen.

I have just joined this forum as I have taken a new Honda car. Please tell me about all the upgrades

If you want to pay for it, you can have a laptop configured for all passenger seats. Videoconferencing options are also available, along with entertainment system options and other amenities for the interior. I suggest that you check out a television show called Pimp My Ride and another one called Trick My Truck for a look at some of the possible upgrades that are available.

Yep, the magic mouse is quite awesome but i can guarantee you there wont be a slide out keyboard.. it's not consistent with how Apple have been releasing things, if anything id say there will be an advanced on screen keyboard just like the iPhone..

I think this poll is useless, I think we all are interested to see at-least what it is, and what it can do? Now are we interested in purchasing it? Only Steve knows!

exactly. if there question were "are you going to buy an islate?" the results would be very different. at present i can't see myself needing such a device *unless* it is great for reading á la kindle.

Boon Docks USA
As long as it has a dual core chip, capable of playing HD movies, wifi, bluetooth and NOT tethered to a carrier, I'm in. Well, if the price is outrageous like the new mac pro's are, I will be sticking with my 13 inch macbook. Lets hope for less than 800 but probably dreaming. Am hearing its going to run $1000.00.
