The new intellistand option

I've had one of the first batch of iPad 2 portenzo cases from last year... And was lucky enough to win a free case during this month's facebook promo giveaway.

Just received the case today and I have to say that the magentized intellistand is an ingenious solution for propping up the case horizontally - particularly if you use it with an external keyboard.

I'll be selling my old case, which is in excellent condition, in the marketplace.

EDIT: I thought there was a macrumors marketplace, guess not.

I wouldn't hold your breath

If you just ordered one. Ordered a month ago and they haven't started according to the "Megatracker" (although I was referred to as "Awesome Person" when I emailed asking... So I have that going for me, which is nice). I noticed they finally changed the expected ship date from 7-21 days from the 7-10 that was originally listed, but that seems a little optimistic at best.

It took about 28 days to get my composition style with intellistand. I've had it for a week and the top right corner of the wooden frame has already warped and bent such that the rubber on that corner no longer holds the iPad in place. The other corners still hold though. I've sent off an email and will see what they say but I'm disappointed and will probably just ask for a refund. Unfortunately there is no other company that offers the style and features as portenzo. Guess I'll never find a durable solution and go back to a plastic back cover with a smart cover on the front like many other users have before me.

yup.....as I said above many times, wood has no place long term in a case.....like makin a boat out of concrete....and yes, I know that's been done but it doe not make it good...just like the wood moleskin's....

I received my Portenzo 32 days after ordering. It is beautiful! I chose buckram, and it looks good. The wood frame seems very strong. The IntelliStand works well. So far, so good. Interested to see if it holds up.
