Wow this case is amazing! I just Opened mine for Christmas and I can't stop staring at it. Double black is so classy and feels so nice. I definitely recommend this case for all!

Portenzo vs Pad & Quill?

I had been pretty much certain that I would be ordering up a Portenzo in January, but I've just checked out the 'The Case for iPad, Volume 3' from Pad and Quill. This looks to be very similar quality to Portenzo's offering (the Dodo is not even on my list of potentials), so I'm interested to hear any thoughts anyone might have that would help me decide between these two possibilities.
Anyone got any comments on the security of the iPad in the Pad and Quill case? Specifically, is the iPad held in there as well as it would be in the Portenzo? I wish I could find a video demo of the Pad and Quill case, similar to this one for the Portenzo.

Someone had asked them on twitter a few days ago and they responded that there are no current coupons.
Here is a true but short iPad case love story. When I first saw the Portenzo I hated it and said I would never buy it but 2 months later I fell upon this thread and fell in love with the Portenzo. I have now had my sky blue linen Portenzo case for exactly one week and couldn't be happier
I've just ordered two of them. I have the stylus models and even ordered the boxwave stylus that they suggest.
My old case was a Dodo which was a piece of sheit. The rubber corners un-glued themselves and then the bamboo corners cracked. I was told that the Portenzo cases are much higher quality than the Dodo ones.

Keep in mind however that if you are choosing one of the "exotics" or real leather ones they will take longer i believe

Wow, Stingray is now $50 more than before (earlier in the thread).
As we already are aware Alano is $35 more than before.
Premium case is getting more premium price.
Portenzo is definitely gaining some momentum.
Ordered one last night with a Purple liner
I hope you'll post a pic here or on their Facebook page when you get it. I have a Happy Owl Studios case, but I'm thinking of getting a Portenzo also so I can have a lower-profile option. I want the purple, but I want to see a pic of it in action before ordering. The color is so dark that's it's difficult to tell what it will really look like from looking at the little sample on the site.
