I'm sick and tired of being/feeling like the fat, ugly girl..... it ends now!
Well, when the dvd's get here, anyway... until then I'm trying my hand at Zumba and discovering just how little rhythm I really have.
And since I grew up in the South and grew up learning to cook (and eat) like a farm hand, I'm enrolling in the next healthy cooking class at the local Community College...
Wish me luck! (or find that magic pill that makes you lose weight as easily as you gain it......)
Check out the Paleo diet. In one week, (I'm a fat (__Y__).) I lost 6lbs. Essentially one eats nothing that's manufactured. Wheat has been a big factor too. Supposedly it's healthy, according to the government but, there are a lot of studies that prove otherwise. (I can dig them up and send them to you, if you would like. Just PM me.)

I wound up with enough home exercise stuff to finance the modern world before I finally joined a gym. Suck it up and go down for a look, it's more than worth it. I have been at the gym 2-3 times per week for over 5 years now.

I quit eating late a good while ago - nothing after 6pm... it did wonders for my heartburn problems as well. I gave up soda four months ago
I need to start somewhere, and I know myself well enough to know that it's only going to take one instance at the gym of someone looking at me (or in my general direction) slightly askance, and I'll never go back.
I have serious self-esteem issues stemming from my weight and other factors... I'm working on those other factors as well, but the weight loss is the most important (both for my emotional and physical health). I'm also seriously considering seeing a therapist to get to the bottom of my emotional attachment with food.
Annnddddddd, just so I'm not completely hijacking the thread, my most recent purchase:

And I didn't pay nearly full retail for my p90x set, so I'm not terribly concerned. I wanted to try it, but I wasn't about to pay $130+ for it.

Coolest gift cards ever. I purchased a couple for my kids to put in their stockings. They're only 4, but I'm willing to help if they need it.
Best thing about being a parent is the ability to purchase cool stuff & toys and have a perfectly good excuse for doing so.

My mom said no legos and that a gift card to go toward his DS would be good so I figured two birds with one stone. I think its cool.

The stupid computer at work is a laptop on a dock and hidden away--only accessible usb ports are on the side of the monitor and it's right next to a shelf with a dvd/vcr combo so everytime I need to use it, I have to turn my monitor around. This will help significantly and at $4, I just added it to my most recent purchase for the free shipping. I have one at home as well, works nicely with my iMac and stays hidden when not in need.
