Spent wayyy to much money last night. Bought 800 LED lights for my yard to replace my old crappy (half working) lights.

I love them.

Hey! can we get in on that deal? I searched Amazon but there is nary a mention of such large rebate.

Found it sorry: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0..._m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=0EPS9AEF1TK7GGV8P287

Sorry for not replying sooner - I was in class. I'm glad you found the link!

I was disappointed when I saw there was a $130 rebate between 11/25 - 11/28 and they sold out before I could have bought one. However, I do not recall what the price was; it could have been higher than 274.49. When I came across the $100 rebate today, I pulled the trigger on the purchase, especially because today was the last day to order to still be eligible for the rebate.

I've been toying with the idea of an Intel SSD since when the X-25M has been out and for 174.50, I think I will be satisfied from what I have read.

:)

8 GBs of crucial ram for my MBP for 39.99 off of Amazon.

A 160GB Intel 320 ssd off of Amazon. 274.50 with a 100 MIR.

Overall it cost me 314.49 today and after I get the rebate back it will only have cost me 214.49.

Not bad for a SSD and 8gb of ram!

Damn that SSD is a great deal...which generation is that though? Is that the gen II?

Also I just ordered the same RAM. It's come down a long way from the $200 it was last time I looked.

Then some alcohol for the night. Was a Pac-12 alumni meet and greet in NYC, right next to Rockefeller center. Able to see the lighting of the tree.

I usually don't pre-order a game this early but I couldn't wait. The CE for Diablo III is one of the better collector's editions in a long time; a lot of CEs are usually pathetic in terms of their quality and items you get.

I'm not sure if I can fully answer your question, since there could be two different things we could be talking about. If we are thinking about the Intel SSD product line, Gen I would have been the X-25M that had a G1 in their model name. Gen II would have been the X-25M with the G2 in their model name. The 320, which is the successor to the x-25m, would be the third generation and it features 25nm MLC instead of 34nm.

However, I'm unsure if you were referring to SATA II vs SATA III. It is true that this ssd is only SATA II compared to the Intel 510 which is SATA III compatible. But I have a mid-2009 MBP with the 3.06 C2D that only supports a max of 3.0 SATA II instead of the 6.0 SATA III in the newer MBPs. Overall, that is why I picked this drive. From everything I have read, if you are looking for a SATA II drive, this is the one.

Additionally, congrats on the ram! I had my eye set on the OWC ram upgrade, but I could not justify the extra $10 dollars for the OWC over Crucial. I have been seeing a lot of deals for cheaper ram, but I feel better buying a quality brand. While some may preach to me that OWC is much better than Crucial, I personally rank them the same. Plus, this ram was cheaper on Amazon than on Crucial's own website!

Salsa lessons for the new lady and I:
(edit: or is it "for me and the new lady" ?....the syntax here always confuses me...)

And too much of this to see her, but alas, it's worth every gas guzzling mile. I don't care for high mpg cars anyway....

An easy way to remember is to drop the other person from your sentence. So, with your example, the sentence would be "Salsa lessons for I." That doesn't make sense, so use "me" instead. But at least in the US, we're often taught to put the "me" at the end as a courtesy. So, finally:

Salsa lessons for the new lady and me.

:)

^^^Thanks Mattcube64. The rule that you point out will be easy to remember. 6 years+ out of college I should know this

No problem! Eh, I'm a journalism major so I should know those kinds of rules. However, I can barely do high school level math, and the $4K+ I dropped of French classes has already been completely wasted. :p
