Well i can say that my credit card has been busy these past weeks (for the first time :p)

pre-orded the book on amazon

and finally after reading so many reviews i finally pull the trigger on

Sony HDR-CX115 - 305€ (438$)

Transcend 32Gb class10 SDCard - 15€ from ebay (21$)

a small Case Logic just to carry the camcorder around - 13€ (18$)

and a Springfield perfume (14$)

So that's it for now

ok, here it is the rest of the stuff. i'm all set to start making my own projects. hello premiere and after effects :D

I hope that's not your photo of the Transcend card, because if so, that's a fake card. I wouldn't be surprised if it was just an empty plastic shell with no circuitry in it. Here's a photo of a real Transcend 32GB Class 10, beside your photo. You can see the obvious differences in typography and design, and how they've rather inadequately reproduced the Transcend and Secure Digital logos.

I only noticed because you quoted a ridiculously low price, even for eBay, and because I use Transcend cards (16GBs) in my cameras.

lol i know what you're thinking.

but it's not empty and the first thing i noticed when i opened the box was the badly printed sticker, but hey it works it's fast and yes it's my picture.

i suspected from the first minute that was way to cheap for a sd card, but decided to go that way anyway.

Here, for the same price you can only buy a 4gb card  so 32gb card for the same price even if it doesn't lasts that long the lost isn't much

but thanks anyway cleanup :p

^ how much? i'm a little weary about WD because i had one for 4 years and it completely crapped out and won't mount or power on anymore.

That is a very good amount of life out of your WD. 4 years is actually one of the longest I have ever heard. I am building my harddrive set ups around WD drives and hope that they will last as long. I plan to unmount them and power them down when not in use.

I have a WD that's over 6 yrs old, still works fine. I always unmount and power down when not in use 'though - usually for months at a time.

Just bought this:

Dropped a 120GB SSD in my 13" MBP and then pulled the optical and put a 750 in there, then bought one of these for my optical off ebay. They are a cheap Japanese knock off doesn't fit the superdrive that great i had to take a knife and file down the bottom part of the lip so the disc would clear. But now works great.

During the last load of laundry today the dryer decided that heat was optional, so I'm getting the parts from a eBay seller to repair it.
