My first and second semester books were that high and then I changed schools for my second year and I only payed like 350-400 dollars for 15 credit hours. I guess it depends on how high your school marks up the prices.
3 of those books are on Amazon you could have saved yourself well over 100 bucks...

Sucks because I have always had an interest in Web OS (nearly bought a Pre over an Android last year, sold the Android for an iPhone in the end. haha)... and now that they are at I price that I wouldn't feel guilty for getting it and not using it *enough* (the main reason I can justify a tablet purchase), it is impossible to find. Damn bulk buyers.
ye, i'm going to do that next semester. i was too lazy to do it, my friend told me about buying books online and get overnight shipping for $4.
Sheesh...and these same textbooks can't be found on Amazon??
Two words:
International edition.
Same exact book but with just a paperback cover. My accounting/finance books would be in the hundreds of dollars, whereas the international edition would be on average $60-70. College books are such a ripoff!

It's the first desktop I've owned since......hmmmm, sometime in the 90's? I think it was the Macintosh Classic II. It's been a Compaq laptop piece of crap (never again), iBooks, MacBooks, and MacBook Pros ever since.
The best part of the purchase......I got the 8GB of RAM for free! I loves me some Amazon.
