Ordered the new Nikon 40mm f/2.8G Micro/Macro lens.
Plus another 16GB Class 10 SDHC card to add to my ever growing collection of cards. You never know when one will fail on you..

How's the quality of those Amazon cards? I'd like to pick up a few SD cards to replace some DVD-Rs that I've got (even though they're more expensive, they take up less space) and to back-up some stuff I don't need on HDDs...

Going back to Bottled. One of the first fragrances I purchased when I was a wee lil kid (okay, I was 19). Still smells just as good.

Already September! ARG! The fall gaming onslaught is upon us!

Well, I bought a copy of Deus Ex from Green Man Gaming for $28 several weeks ago. I beat it last week, and it immediately jumped up my list to one of the best single player games I've ever played. This is the perfect example of "why I like video games." In any case, I just HAD to get a real, retail copy after completing it. So, I ordered a retail Augmented Edition to get all the goodies!

And the FuturePress Collector's Edition guide finally got here a little while ago. GREAT complement to the game.

The EA game was $6 at Costco. For six bucks, I'll give just about anything a shot. As for the Amazon gift cards, I actually took advantage of the Blockbuster "Buy One Get One Free" on games; and I spent about $45, traded them into Best Buy for $105, and picked up the two Amazon cards. Can't beat doubling your money for a couple hours work.

A friendly fellow on another board had this listed for $15/shipped. I've looked EVERYWHERE for a cheap Black label copy in mint condition. It's the only game in my "Top Ten Ever List" that I don't own - I lost both my GH and BL in a move :-(. I do have a PSN copy, but that doesn't count ;p ... Anyway, was thrilled with the condition. Other than a small fracture on the back of the case, everything is brand new looking.

PRE-LOADED!!! Was going to get this on the X360 to play with my best bud. But, unfortunately, he's broke right now (silly girlfriends ;p), and I found this for ~$34 - $30 of referral credit at GMG. Four bucks? Yes, please!

I got in on this deal within the first 15 minutes of it going live. Ordered one of every game I could find at this price... but Amazon eventually canceled all of them, except this. For a penny, I can't complain! ... Though, I'm jealous of someone who managed to get 60+ copies of LA Noire for sixty cents!

And this was actually a gift from my sister, as she just came back for Labor Day weekend from her first two weeks in college. I'm VERY proud of her!

Oh yeah, and my mom has been wanting to replace our aging and breaking microwave for a while now; but had no one to install it, nor could she really afford it. Found this bad boy on clearance from $299 -> $149 - > $119! I've never done it before, but I got the old one removed and this one installed in about 90 minutes :)

How do you find all these video game deals? I would have jumped on LA Noire and Homefront

I suspect it has the logic board issue (no display). Hopefully it'll be a quick fix like the last one I bought so I can get it sold on for a profit. Haven't got a clue on the spec or screen size though.

One of the last things I needed for my "initiation" at university tomorrow. :/

By the way, anyone has a picture of a licence plate with the letters "GIF" on it?

I'm always a little amazed when I discover something that's known by a popular name here in the US is also the name of something different in another part of the world. That being "Smarties" here in the US are fruit flavored wafer candies:

Whereas in other parts of the world they are a candy coated chocolate (comparable to our M&Ms). Who knew?

I can't live anymore, the shock is too important :p

EDIT: with that said I have to say that our smarties are disgusting. The taste like crap, more coloring than chocolatey taste. Plus they have been toxic for a while, as the blue ones have been removed for something like 5 years (meaning the coloring wasn't that harmless). I prefer M&Ms :)

After months of saving, I finally upgraded to the Canon 7D. All I can say, it's worth the money, saving for months not being able to buy anything.

Here are recent purchases:
