Already September! ARG! The fall gaming onslaught is upon us!
Well, I bought a copy of Deus Ex from Green Man Gaming for $28 several weeks ago. I beat it last week, and it immediately jumped up my list to one of the best single player games I've ever played. This is the perfect example of "why I like video games." In any case, I just HAD to get a real, retail copy after completing it. So, I ordered a retail Augmented Edition to get all the goodies!
And the FuturePress Collector's Edition guide finally got here a little while ago. GREAT complement to the game.
The EA game was $6 at Costco. For six bucks, I'll give just about anything a shot. As for the Amazon gift cards, I actually took advantage of the Blockbuster "Buy One Get One Free" on games; and I spent about $45, traded them into Best Buy for $105, and picked up the two Amazon cards. Can't beat doubling your money for a couple hours work.
A friendly fellow on another board had this listed for $15/shipped. I've looked EVERYWHERE for a cheap Black label copy in mint condition. It's the only game in my "Top Ten Ever List" that I don't own - I lost both my GH and BL in a move :-(. I do have a PSN copy, but that doesn't count ;p ... Anyway, was thrilled with the condition. Other than a small fracture on the back of the case, everything is brand new looking.
PRE-LOADED!!! Was going to get this on the X360 to play with my best bud. But, unfortunately, he's broke right now (silly girlfriends ;p), and I found this for ~$34 - $30 of referral credit at GMG. Four bucks? Yes, please!
I got in on this deal within the first 15 minutes of it going live. Ordered one of every game I could find at this price... but Amazon eventually canceled all of them, except this. For a penny, I can't complain! ... Though, I'm jealous of someone who managed to get 60+ copies of LA Noire for sixty cents!
And this was actually a gift from my sister, as she just came back for Labor Day weekend from her first two weeks in college. I'm VERY proud of her!
Oh yeah, and my mom has been wanting to replace our aging and breaking microwave for a while now; but had no one to install it, nor could she really afford it. Found this bad boy on clearance from $299 -> $149 - > $119! I've never done it before, but I got the old one removed and this one installed in about 90 minutes
