Arguably the best screen on a smartphone right now. I'm also partial to LCD over AMOLED. The bravia engine on the Z is nice but only if you're looking at it head on. Tilt the screen even slightly and the colors start to get washed out.

Agreed LCD/IPS is much nicer than AMOLED, all you have to do is have a look at the subpixel ratio, and you will see the color imbalance and what will happen, I see what you mean, I didn't actually know the Sony Xperia Z was an AMOLED display!? BUt yeah, I have been trying some display models and it looks amazing (parents areconverting to android :O ).

No. The Xperia Z is TFT LCD. I was just stating I find LCD superior to AMOLED as far as best displays go. Sorry for the confusion.

In other words, the Xperia Z has a craptastic TN display that is nowhere the level of the S-LCD used on the One.
