Hm, it's it Nova or Touchwiz that lets you have a transparent notification bar? Nova on 4.2.2 and up? Or TW on S4 or newer? I can't find a way to do it on my Note 2. (Sorry I think this has been covered already in some thread but I forgot already :))

It's a Nova setting, inside "look and feel".

But only when on top of a rom that supports transparent notification such as a touch wiz on the S4 & Note 3 or the HTC 1. On a device without support in the stock rom the menu option will either not work or simply not appear in the first instance.
