Ha Ha,yea I just got it today but I've been busy watching my Texans lose yet another game.

Now I have all night to root this bad boy and get to customizing :D

Such a rough loss for our Texans with a lot of injuries, but Case Keenum proved a lot today.

Back on topic, about to download Nova Launcher, and have some fun! :p

Great screenshots.

One thing that bugs me about my Android is that the time is on the Widget AND the notification bar. I only need it in one place Google!

Widget with time? No notification bar. No widget, then notification bar. Simple.

Easy fix, use Nova launcher. You can decide which screens show the time in the notification panel.

oops, not Nova launcher but you can do this with certain roms like CM or Pacman. Needs root but it is attainable.

for example, using pacman I can change the color of the notification panel, clock, icons just based on apps or screens.

And that's where you lost me. I should not have to do all that for what's is basically a visual design flaw. I hear 4.3 fixes that, but who knows when I'll see that on my S4 in the Android world.

Trust me I fully understand, but for some of us that's the joy of Android. It's yours to truly customize if you want

Homepage w/ clock widget ... no clock in notif bar

Every other screen without widget ... clock in notif bar.

Color coded notif bar & icons to match different apps ...

Apex launcher lets you get rid of the top bar on the home screen.

Nexus 7. Nothing terribly exciting or anything.

Notice in the larger pic below the discrete Power Toggle in the center to turn the screen off. It's easier than reaching for the power button. :)

Plain and simple on my Nexus 7. I like a minimal home screen. And black wallpaper saves battery. :D

Sorry.... To me personally that's horrendous. It's one of clearest examples of why I don't really do widgets or in your face wallpapers.

But hey different boats.

I'm the same way but I got over it because the usefulness of having widgets trumps the visual appeal ... then some days I get all antsy and remove the odd looking widgets for a cleaner looking setup :D
