I've said before that the twitter and reddit clients on Android are far far superior to those on iOS. I have 5 of each. They are so damn good that I can't delete them and use only one. As for twitter, Talon is probably my favorite. As for reddit, all 5 are equally great and I can't pick just one.

I went from alien blue ios, to alien blue Android, and was surprised that it had more functionality.

I'm curious...why no app drawer? It one of the things about Android I really like.

I actually use my S7e without and grown to prefer it. I have only 2 home screens and don't see the point of managing two areas of my device into folders and duplicate apps where with no app drawer I only have to manage them thusly In one area and not on the home screens and the app drawer.

I used it on my LG G5 and I have to say, it was actually MUCH nicer. I had a specific setup (if I can find the screenshots I will), but it was more efficient than using a drawer I found.

Plus uninstalling apps was much more streamlined with it.

Fair enough. Many of the Android faithful were up in arms back when this first surfaced for a number of recent Android devices (believe the Nexbit Robin does the same) and initial rumors were that Android N might ditch it as well--lots of 'if i want endless screens of icons, I'll get an iPhone' type comments. So needless to day, I've been curious when lately I see quite a few comments like yours and @AppleRobert.

I personally have no problem either way...I generally use Spotlight search to open most apps on iOS so organization is not a huge priority and love the alphabetical list in the Android app drawer, keeps my home screens down to a bare few oft used apps.

Love me some quick swipe down spotlight search on iOS.

it's much faster than you'd think it would be---didn't realize it until i started using the Nexus 6P. Doing the same with the Google search box isn't nearly as quick for some reason.

Yea I never understood the use of spotlight too much but I have multiple apps in a clean setup with folders and really maximized the use of it. Love it

I guess like anything it depends on the individuals use case. I honestly don't find much difference between the Google search bar and spotlight other than I swipe down on iOS and it's fixed on Google launcher.

Yeah, probably has more to do with familiarity. When I consciously compare both side by side right now, not much difference. The muscle memory for me on iOS likely has me moving through the action quicker is all.

I'm using a new launcher called https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.citc.asap ASAP Launcher. It's a beautiful material design and extremely light on the memory, unlike Nova and some others. On my Nexus 6, I've noticed it's using 1 gig less RAM so instead of using about 2.8 gigs with Nova, I'm using about 1.5 gigs with this one. Here's some screenshots showing the dock, you can swipe up from the dock to reveal more and another shot of the weather app on it. Overall, I liked it so much that I bought the upgrade and I'm using it daily now.

There was something wrong with your Nova, it should have been in no way using that amount of ram. Perhaps a third-party widget or other must have been causing a memory hole.
