I don't care, show me the goods ;)

I did, in the Post your guitar thread...

This is my current gear at uni (besides my electric and acoustic), there's no point bringing an amp to uni, just end up being evicted for being loud...

dude, about the amp, that sucks

can't they let you play it at low volumes, even let's say, if its 100 watts?

There's no point, it would just annoy everyone else in my flat and everyone downstairs, everyone upstairs etc, I was tempted to bring it just to hook it up to headphones, but it's too heavy, but there wasn't much point, I get along fine with amplitube.

The amplitube sounds like a nice unit. I assume you plug that one into headphones. I used to have a rockman knockoff that was really cool and I played through that a lot.

My gear.

Piano: Karl Hamburger Vienna mechanics grand piano from 1878.
Master controller: Kurzweil PC88mx (new investment after iMac - Kurzweil PC3X to replace this one)
Rack: Roland JV-1080, EMU ESI-4000 Turbo sampler
MIDI keyboard: M-Audio Keystation 49e

Also there's some gear that's not shown, like my mixing board I use for in-ear monitoring at gigs and rehearsals, and my in-ear earphones Shure E2c.

Peace out,
-J

Triangle, I really hate these, my 3 year old daughters got one and no musical talent at all, usual whilst i'm watching tv
Hahaha, I was forced into piano at 3, and let me tell you, it was not worth it! My dad would freak out because what was supposed to be a scale was just a random mash of notes. He about cried when my mother got me into violin too!

I had ddrums for a while. The build quality isn't fantastic (obviously) but I found that the kick was one of the best I've ever used. Great low end out of that thing, something I was very surprised with.

Yeah, I'd only just started so it was fine for me, I had to do a bit of work on it to get it sounding just right.

I did buy some new stuff as well to replace the rubbish parts like a set of Zildjian symbols, new skins etc. I'll trade up soon lol ;)

4-piece as i usually play:
2998604633_239a5ae3dc.jpg

Those are great. I always liked using a five piece at first, if not more like my wife's 6 piece Rodgers/4 cymbals plus hi-hat, then I found that a four piece is perfect for almost all needs and less to carry around. Where the second high mounted tom is a perfect place for a crash or crash-ride, and with a large ride near the floor tom pretty much covers everything with the fewest parts to lug around.
