Thank you for making a digital applewatch face with seconds. I have been looking for one for a long time. Is it working? Is it possible to install it, please?

As pointed out above, it's now provided in watchOS 3. Better late than never!

Thanks, but my app was just a stop-gap and it was really no more than a Hello World app with the Hello World replaced with the current time including seconds.

Anyone having issues with black pictures for watch faces now looking washed out and a lot less black after the OS3 update?

I've been rocking a black and white picture of my daughter as my watch face for months and after the update it looks like dark white and white...

(Photo from Saturday was Before and Wednesday is from today.)

Thank you for informing me. I installed WatchOS 3 and the sports face has an option to display the digital seconds. It has now become my watch face for good. I do not need other watch faces.

I have started using digital watches since they first came out in reasonable prices and never went back to analog watch ever again until I was forced by zealous, in my opinion, Apple managers forced us go back to analog watches. They all had the seconds hand, but not the digital watches. I wrote two emails to Apple to try to explain them how important it is to some of their customers to have digital seconds. Finally they seem to have listened, although it is only on one watch face, the sports watch, as it is definitely important for sports watches.

It was amazing, after one half years of using analog watch face, it was hard for me focus correctly on the digital watch with seconds, and read it correctly. After a day it is getting better.

I think large companies like Apple should not assert their will on the people as they did on the Apple watch. If I knew they did not have a digital watch face without digital seconds I would have never bought it. I never expected Apple with its amazing technology would do this to some of their customers. In fact, it was the most expensive watch I ever bought, although I bought the cheapest model, and it was not useful to me. I hang on to it because of its high cost and hoping Apple will correct their mistake. I was also searching for third part digital watch faces and then Apple decided to forbid developers from making and selling watch faces.

I checked the WatchOS 3 watch faces in the advertisements when announced and did not see one with digital seconds and I started planning to sell or give away my Apple watch and go back to Japanese digital watches I used for many years, if new WatchOS did not have it. It did, finally.

I agree, although late, it is better than never.

Sorry for my long rant, but you can see my deep frustration with Apple--even though I am an Apple fan since Mac came out--for making such an expensive but lame electronic watch. When I saw your post I was excited that you have actually made your own digital watch face, and that it might solve my huge disappointment. Bravo!

Ha! Nice. Probably the only way to get "666" on a watch.

I think large companies like Apple should not assert their will on the people as they did on the Apple watch.
Wow.

Are you going to badger Seiko for not making a no-date Seiko 5? Or Rolex for not selling their Datejust with a leather strap? Or Honda for discontinuing the Crosstour?

All companies "assert their will" by making, or not making, products of their choice. You let some trivial personal hangup aggravate yourself way more than necessary.

Problem was that Apple did not put very much thought into the digital watch faces. Why on earth would they talk about the accuracy of the watch and then not display the seconds?

Attached is my current watch face. It is an app I wrote called Hermez. It will never get into the App Store and I'll not try to get it there.

I might put the swift files on GitHub with instructions on how to build.
anyway I can get instructions on this? Been wrecking my brain trying to figure out how to add analog dial to the custom watch face.

Anyone know how to get the Nike faces? I wonder if they will ever release or it will be exclusive to the watch like Hermes.

Ok, so I'm still on the 2014 iPhone 6 Plus which does not have the ability to take "Live Photos" So I was messing around yesterday with an app called "Live Maker" (Trial is free in App Store, 99 cents for full version)

** I do not have any affiliation with this app, not trying to promote or sell it. Just messing around with little apps that can create these pics.

Anyway, the old 6 Plus can view these Live Photos and they do move..I just couldn't make my wallpaper "live" I was initially interested in making that slick "Blue Jewel" for my Lock Screen, I couldn't (I guess I can if I jailbreak my phone)

So then I figured I'd try to add them to my Apple Watch photo album and see if they would work on the Watch. It did. Took a few time lapse shots of Philly, also the "Blue Jewel" (from another app called "Black") converted these MOV files to "live", added them to the Watch Photo album..that's it.

If this is considered "old" - as in people already knew this..lol Sorry. :)
It's not perfect...but it's pretty cool I think - especially for those with older devices. I know..my 6Plus is considered "ancient" I suppose..holding off as long as possible to upgrade to 7, I'm really trying to wait for the 2017 iPhone.

Brief video tutorial of what I did.
