So I've gone through one repair and two replacements. I'm going to get another replacement from a different Apple store. The yellow tint really is very slight, and I can see how people might not see it. I really am suspicious that EVERY machine has it but most people don't notice or care.
This is so frustrating. As much as I like Mac OSX, I got the computer because of its great hardware and the option to run Windows. If I end up running Windows most of the time, then I feel like it would be a waste to have a screen with a yellow tint on the bottom of the screen.
When this issue is resolved, should I call Apple Care and have it repaired? I'm just so tired of dealing with Apple. I want to enjoy what I do on my new computer, rather than think about the computer's problems.
Perhaps I should just forget the yellow tint and stop thinking about it?
my problem is with the amount of threads about the same issue, asking the same questions.
in a manor that creates a bulk of threads that are difficult to read through and keep track of is unconstructive.
I understand your point, but once people get a replacement and then get a machine they are satisfied with, they stop looking in the threads about problems, and so no one gets any questions answered. Instead, we keep seeing dozens of threads titled "yay my MBP is perfect!" (which is equally annoying, and there have been an equal number of other threads asking people if they have perfect computers) That doesn't help us a bit.
Sorry for creating this thread. I did not want to cause trouble, just wanted some answers.
