Order number is W6571XXXX and I ordered on Nov. 9.

Really looking forward to getting it. I have a 2.4 ghz 24" iMac and I'm really expecting a big jump in performance - especially in Handbrake and other video encoding as well as VMWare.

I've already ordered and received 2x2 gigs of RAM as well as the VESA plate and a VESA arm.

Now I just need a machine. Patience, patience, patience...

Order says "Ships in November" still, but my Amex has been authorized by not billed.

Today is Tuesday, November 17th and my order is still "Not yet shipped". I called Apple twice in the past two days and they are still telling me that there is nothing wrong with my order, it just hasn't shipped. Duh!

i7 iMac (standard config plus iWork pre-installed) ordered 10/28/09 9:31am PST. Order # W6549xxxx

"Cancel Items" button greyed out on 11/10.

Credit Card Pre-authorized on 11/8. Credit Card pre-authorization dropped off on 11/11. Credit card has not been charged.

Order status still says "Not yet shipped". I called Apple today and the rep told me everything on my order is still a "go" (no issues with credit card, shipping info, order items, etc.).

Here's my information that I meant to post with my last post.

clarification about Order Status needed

Hello,

I need some clarification about Order Status / Status Mails.
Yesterday I got an email saying, that my iMac has been shipped - good news so far. When I log on to Apple it also has the status shipped, but there is no tracking number / carrier mentioned, even now after 24h.
As mentioned in the first email (after I bought the iMac online) the intital expected delivery time is still stated on the webpage (11-25), the email with the shipment notice states end of this week as delivery date latest.

When and how does apple handle the update of the Status online?
I thought I get a tracking number and carrier and will then be able to track the delivery...?

Regards,
DM101

BTW: if it makes a difference, I am talking about a order in europe, not US.

Well if you got an email saying it shipped, then I would likely trust that. I think the order status will be updated very soon to reflect the shipping.

I also wanted to update my status and say that mine will be delivered to me here at work today! Too bad I'll be stuck at work and not be able to play with it until I get home later this evening. Good news and here's hoping there aren't any problems! :D

FYI - My order has now changed to "Prepared for Shipment". If there are still any October order dates out there, there is still hope!

Nov 11 order in USA

Order Number: W6575XXXX
Order Date: Nov 11, 2009
Located: southeast USA
27" i5 4850 vid card 4mb

rec the remote and apple I care already
status on computer says prepared to ship
card not charged yet except for the remote and apple I care

first mac cmptr, hope I will enjoy! I built my previous M$ Bill computers

Am wondering where the comuters ship from?
My remote came directly from China(is anything made anywhere else?)
The Apple care came from..Memphis Tn

FWIW, Before I ordered, I spoke with an Apple employee who is stationed at the local Big Box store. This was before the new models were released. I was sort of aggravated that he did not let me know new models were coming. I went there several times looking and procrastinating as I always do, so it was a good thing this time! Anyway, I asked him about that and he told me that he or his boss is never told about new products. He says the way they find out is when they come in on shipment. So, he seemed to be truthful, but that is all I know about it. And I dont know if that is only the case since he is stationed at the big box store rather than an Apple store. There is not one in town, so was not able to check that.

apple customer service representatives learn about new products the day they are released, same as we do
(or even worse, since on rumour sites we often hear about it earlier)

Mine came in today, the 23rd..a day early. Had it on for about 3 1/2 hours. Box it came in looked good except for small bump on one corner, which I would call minor. All seems to be working, except I have had a couple of flashes across the screen. I hope that is not any bad sign, will have to let it run and see. Other thing that worried me, is the heat from this thing! I took a digital thermometer on back near vent at top and it is around 100 degF! While looking at screen, I can actually feel the heat from it. Heat and computers dont go well together. Hope Apple knows what they are doing! Anyway, last post on here for now, since I have received it. Thanks and good luckt on your shipments.

Supposed to ship from Apple between 12/2 and 12/8, 12/8 won't be a good day because that will be 30yrs since Lennon was gunned down by that BASTARD in NYC!

I ordered the i7, with 1TB HD by the way.
