My brother and I own and run an Architectural consulting company.

This is the main area..

In the second picture, you can see the doors to the conference room and break room. There are also steps that go up to the second floor, where there are three offices. Then there are steps that go downstairs to the CAD and IT area.

This is actually what it looked like on the inside when we first bought the building..

Wow, that's an amazing renovation. Congrats on being your own boss. I'm 28 and have more bosses than I know what to do with.. might have to start my own law firm one of these days once I get the experience under my belt.

I don't have any pictures right now. But I'm an unpaid Intern youth Leader at my church,my office as of last week was moved from the downstairs spare office/storage to the old sound booth/attic. But as being the only surviving intern out of the original 5 I get the whole desk to myself,I have my MB and I have a 2.16Ghz white C2D iMac to myself. With all the goodies, including Final Cut Pro,FCE4, and CS4 master collection. Though it's pretty sluggish with only 1GB of ram. I also have a 2Ghz 17" C2D iMac,and a 15" 2.2Ghz MBP that I use for different things on different days, I will be going to a local Bible College this Fall. After that a paid position finally. :)

Thanks! It was a really long process, but obviously well worth it.

Yeah, I'm 28 as well and I haven't had a boss in a few years and it is quite wonderful. My brother seems to think he's my boss sometimes, though.

I worked as a service advisor for Porsche of Huntington for three years, and got some good pics while I was there. I still work for the parent company (Long Island Auto Group) taking pictures of used cars for their website.

Here are a few pics from when I worked for the company:

Click for bigger pics.

First ones are a customer's cars that I got to drive. We were having a car show, and he has a Carrera GT and a GT3 RS. He didn't know which one to bring, so I jokingly said that I would drive one.
Much to my surprise, he said ok, and said that we could switch cars on the way back to his house.
I drove the GT on the way to the show, and he was in front of me in the RS goading me on, so I got to push a Carrera GT pretty good :D

1:The GT3 RS (you can kinda see my 02 Electron Blue Z06 above the driver side mirror)
2: His Carrera GT
3: Me in the GT following him in the GT3 RS
1 > 2 > 3 >
^iPhone 3G pics^

We had two GT3 orders come in at the same time. Both ordered white. One customer had us powdercoat his wheels white.
The White GT3 with white wheels is owned by the owner/creator of VOD Cars, Garage 419, etc (Next New Networks). He participated in La Carrera Panamericana in Mexico in 2008 with this car and exceeded 190mph.

1: Two white GT3s in the shop
2: White GT3 w/white wheels in front of the store

One of the GT3RS' that we had gotten in, I believe this was the first one we got:

A Carrera GT getting a new transmission:
1: Empty engine bay
2: Engine/Transmission assembly
3: Engine sans transmission. Look how tiny that clutch is, 6.5 inches! Clutch made by Sachs Racing
1 > 2 > 3 >

And an Enzo that stopped by for a NYS inspection:

I miss that job sometimes :(

I haven't had a boss since I was 16:D

Started a freelance business when I was 16, legalized into a regular tax paying LLC at 18, and now 20 doing just fine. Rent, food, necessities ...and Macs etc are easily attainable.

Nice job! Being your own boss is great

That is definitely impressive.

What type of freelance do you do?

See, since you've never had a real boss and haven't been held down by the man, you can't fully appreciate being your own boss. Hahaha.. just kidding.. kinda.

It's really one of the best things you can do with your life though. As long as you have the discipline to actually work when you have to. A lot of people have to be told what to do. Without structure, they'd just be lazy and let it all go down the drain.

Finally, my humble desk. As always, doing some work in Final Cut.

Turn around time on a show, exactly about a year. When I posted this last year around this time, I was working on the rough edit of the show that aired last week. What I'm working on now will air next year around this time. :)

Here is a pic of my home office, awhile ago. It's a lot messier now and both monitors are mounted on arms.

I was reading through this thread and saw my post from 7 months ago and have to laugh. Things have really changed since then. I'm now a college student pursuing 2 AS degrees and wash dishes part time. lol I so can't wait to finish school so I can get out of my small town I'm lived in for 19 years and go do something fun with my life. Like working for Apple. ;)
wow, just noticed I posted that 2 days before I met my wonderful fiance. She really changed my life around. :D

Not the greatest picture but my workplace isn't very exciting anyways. The Majestic theatre, been working there for about 2 years.
