Luckily where I work, much of the emphasis is on having fun, so it's a perfect job environment for me. Took these today with my phone, so excuse the quality.

Here's our office building:

fta-01.jpg

The building is surrounded by a park, jogging trail, several ponds, picnic areas, etc.

fta-02.jpg

This is what greets you when you first step off the elevator into our reception area. Of course currently the holiday decorations are out. Sort of obvious what production I work on. ;)

fta-04.jpg

If you were to head the other way off the elevator, you'd see this, our 'older sibling' show:

fta-05.jpg

People never believe me when I tell them how freely the booze flows around my workplace. Case in point, today in a conference room a table stuffed with alcohol for the taking, an early gift from the show's producers. I grabbed a sixer of Stellas.

fta-06.jpg

In my department, we've got our own impromptu bar. Each of these is autographed with thanks from a director that delivered a particularly difficult episode. We usually demand the good stuff, (Glenfiddich really gets it done!) but we take what we can get.

fta-08.jpg

I call this the 'great wall of sugar'. It's one of several around the studio. There's almost no type snack not freely available. We have multiple fridges stocked with drinks (generally the non-alcoholic types). I have to muster every ounce of willpower I can to stay away from here. Sometimes it works.

fta-07.jpg

Finally, my humble desk. As always, doing some work in Final Cut.

A-FREAKIN-MAZING. Looks like a dream job. I'm not a fan of the show but that all is amazing nevertheless.

Just out of curiosity, what is the turnaround time in your line of work from when an episode is written and aired?

My office is pretty lame, but sometimes I'm treated to some cool views. This is Big Bear lake, after last year's unusual snow storm that blanketed the entire high desert between Los Angeles and Las Vegas.

From script to screen, a little over a year for the average episode. What I'm working on now was scripted about four months ago, and will air in late 2010. Of course the production is staggered- by the time the last show of a season is being scripted, the first shows have already aired, or are ready to air, and so-on. Many times an episode is still in final edit just before going on the air.

Since producing American Dad and The Cleveland Show, has there been more pressure to maintain all three, or is there a bigger workforce to compensate?

I am only 15 but I work at a private beach club when I can. There are a lot rich people that go here. I have met Mr. Kelloggs plus his whole family and the guy who owns heineken/Becks beer.

Sorry for crappy Iphone pics.

Bigger workforce. Cleveland Show is a whole separate production downstairs from FG/AD. They hired a whole new crew to produce it, with a few inhouse promotions as the show's producers and directors.

At the moment this is my office from the inside...
Sweet! What's the story? What routes do you fly? That must be a kick ass job.

Here is where I work, since...well...this morning.

Michelin World HeadQuarters in Clermont Ferrand, France.

Looks like a helluva company, pretty darn good job, and pretty good pay, given the economy these days...
