Now I am doomed unless the sign worked.

It's a suitably scary sign! It would keep the Instacart guy off my porch where I put a box out for him to leave the stuff... he'd probably just drop the groceries in the driveway instead and run screaming back to his truck.

Well while I can't get more work to my long arm quilter during the pandemic, I'm going to shift gears and work on little projects I can machine-quilt or hand stitch myself.

Or just make more blocks for some quilting projects that have been languishing in project boxes for months or even years. I have this one that uses what are called Rabbit's Paw block. That seems like it might be fun to work on as spring approaches, the alternating blocks are just a jazzy kinda tropical batik print. Laid some of that out on the ironing board to let the idea grow on me a little. The batik blocks need a press anyway so there's something to start on.

Finally got around to building my home UnRaid NAS.
The whole thing started with an 'extra' Ryzen 1700 lying around and my QNAP from a little over a year ago just dying out of nowhere.
So the new DIY NAS is 5 - 4TB Ironwolf NAS drives, 4 - Samsung SSD for caching and dockers, 32GB RAM, Asus microATX board, Fractal Node 804 case, Noctua fans.

More making something out of something. This is a round Nikon lens leatherette case that I cut the top off and then cut slots in it to create a MacBook Pro stand, also a slot for external SSD drive. Gets it out of the way for more desk space. Cheers

I cut this sign today way to large I had to cut part of it and slide it and cut the rest. I think I have cut over 30 salt and straw signs. if you don't know what that is it is a high end ice cream shop that can have some crazy flavors.
a standard pear and blue cheese. they have had pigs blood I think halloween and turkey skin and other crazy flavors. the last time I ate it they had a snickerdoodle one and it was incredible. chocolate not bad. I cut them for a local sign guy and he finishes them. this one is going to coconut grove.
