Using a test phone for this::D

25icons.png

Chiny, how did you get the lights under your 'docked' apps?

P.S.- I have the same theme ("illumine"). I'm not talking about the illuminaria highlights that are part of the theme, I was talking about the little blue lights displayed under 5 out of your 6 docked apps.

Can anyone shed some light on this?

I'm trying to use this theme.

I downloaded OpenSSH to my iPhone and connected via CyberDuck. There were two folders I could see, Library and Media. There was no Themes folder within Library, so I just made it and then dropped the two versions of the Matte UI in there. But neither of them show up in Winterboard. According to CyberDuck, the two files are physically on the phone. I resprang the springboard and rebooted the phone, but it didn't help.

Any ideas?

Don't hesitate to throw out something obvious -- this is the first time I'm SSHing into my iPhone and trying to get a theme to work.

You kind of put the cart before the horse.

Delete the Themes folder you created.

Install WinterBoard from Cydia, which will create a Themes folder in the root level Library folder, not in the User folder which is where I think you are putting your files.

Drop the Matte UI theme in that folder and select it with WinterBoard.

You have the make sure that the Bundles, Folders, and UIImages folders are in that top level, and not nested in a folder, in that Matte folder. For example it should be:

Themes > Matter UI > Bundles, Folders and UI Images.

Hm, that's odd. I've had WinterBoard installed all day and it didn't create a themes folder there. Also, I have a few other themes installed directly from Cydia (which are not showing up anywhere in CyberDuck via SSH).

It sounds like I'm connecting to the wrong folder via Cyberduck.

To connect, I just typed in the local IP of my iPhone into Cyberduck and gave it the root/alpine credentials.

The Library and Media folders I referred to are in /private/var/root

Should i be looking somewhere else for this Themes folder that, presumably, should also have the 3 other themes I installed to my iPhone directly from Cydia?

Edit: Nevermind I got it. Cyberduck was being silly and not letting me browse to the root folder. The button was greyed out, so I thought that the Library and Media folders were the only ones available for viewing/editing via SSH. I had to quit and relaunch Cyberduck. Thanks for your help.

Too bad the Matte UI theme doesn't work on my 3GS (lots of other users are reporting this issue also.)

Make sure you have the most recent version. There is a threat on MacThemes in Releases. Go to the last page and try that one, it works fine on my 3GS.

Well first of all there is no unlock for the 3GS yet, especially for a CDMA network like Verizon so not sure what to think of that(maybe you would like to share how that can be) and second......even if you are on Verizon there isnt any advice in here we can give you.

Uh, duh! It's the Verizon Carrier Change in Cydia and YES, there is a UNLOCK for the 3GS iPhone: http://www.iclarified.com/entry/index.php?enid=4520

You have got to pulling a fast one on us...your phone would fry if you tried JB Verizon. Looks hopeful though.

Of course I'm pulling your leg.....:p:p:p:D:D:D

darn, copied the wallpaper.html (with large clock and date in it) everywhere on the phone i can think of, but no way it works :(

The dock is in the theme, u just need to ssh into the phone and set it as ur dock. Then ur good to go.

big clock - wallpaper.html

been browsing the internet for the last 2 hours... *sigh*

hopefully tomorrow morning i'll find a solution in the form of a reply here :]

tks.

huh ?! it says there's a page #63, but you can't get to it..... the answer to my "issue" might be there

I've had that problem as well, just click on last and you will be at the last page. I finally found your question in a separate thread. Try to keep your question in one thread.

your post is the first on page #63 so i don't know what's up... :}

i have a jail broken iPhone 3g, and copied the content of the Wallpaper.html in Wallpaper.html, and no matter where i put it it does NOT show the large clock (which is what i am after) i have Winterboard so also put it in the root of that... made 4 empty icons thinking that was what covering it but nope.

ps. if i look in Winterboard i do see Wallpaper.html, and turn ON the checkmark but... no difference.

i'm baffled..

Took a long break from jailbreaking, never got into deep theming, maybe this time around I will:D but I am enjoying this one for the moment.

I think the bug occurs when a page is full of comments, one more would create a new page, because I have seen the same issue as you.

Since you got the clock mod from MacThemes I'm assuming you asked there first. What did they say?

Here's mine

I finally figured out how to get a separate wallpaper for my lockscreen/homescreen so I feel inclined to post:

five-column springboard theme?

how is that working for you? does it eat much RAM?
It's working good for me, haven't experienced any lags, could be cause I have the 3GS so i'm not sure how smoothly it will run on the 3G, I did have to do a lot of moving around with some of my icons so they would position without the labels overlapping each other or looking like a big run-on sentence.

Use the Illumine winterboard theme, it has scale-down icons... looks really good with 5-column springboard... thats what i saw and intend to do...but a bit worried bout RAM usage.

EDIT: tested..drops from 45mb to 38mb once i install it...guess the 3G only can take that much jailbreakin...(am using lockinfo, winterboard springboard themes, 5 row dock, sbsettings, etc)
