here is a theme i put together

So I have to ask folks, what program are you guys using to create all the icons? I'm using GIMP on my Mac for some basic stuff, but I don't think I can create cool looking icons like that.
I am doing this on my GF pc. its really easy..
i go to this website for my icons

has thousands of awesome icons.
then just make a found go into that folder make another folder called icons.
drag all your .png files in there ie . Weather.png Clock.png
your get it..
and to get the images in the right size . i use irfanview . you can download it for free somewhere .. just copy an image from the website . go into irfanview select paste .. then go to image resize change it to 60 x 60 save image as ie
Weather.png then drag into icons folder ..that easy

Mine:
LockScreen with Tap to Unlock/StatusNotifier Theme and Calendar
HomeScreen: Mix of BlueBird and something else...i forget. Weather/Date/Time Widget. Custom WiFi icon. Glass Orb Dock. ATT logo from BigBoss. Make It Mine custom logo instead of status bar time. Custom Vista-esque wallpaper with top "dock."

Can't redistribute it cause mine is a mix of a lot of different things (some custom) and i don't have permission from original creators of some of the things i have, but if you head over to www.macthemes2.net you should be able to find a ton of themes

Sorry guys I'm a newbie at jailbreak but are most of these themes posted here available on Cydia and how do you customize them like jcde7ago said he customized Bluebird?? I jailbroke my iPhone and am downloading themes, is the best place to look featured packages?
I'm not all about creating my own, but you can mix and match using winterboard. Cydia has a ton of themes to start with.
is there any app on Cydia that gives the weather//little info boards on the lockscreen OR homescreen that people on here are posting? i don't feel like going through the hassle of downloading things online and transferring them somehow to my Touch.

Intelliscreen is way sweet, but i noticed a significant amount of lag after installing it! enough that it made me uninstall it...did i do something wrong or is that just the way it is?
is it as sleek as some of the thing's people post on here or is it more generic?

EDIT: k so i downloaded that Intelliscreen thing and i kinda like it, but it says it's a 10 day trial period, then i have to buy a license...why would that be on Cydia if it wasn't free?

it's free, but bear in mind you're probablying going to be doing a lot of SSHing. I personally use Cyberduck (mac)
I'd read though all the pages on that website before asking questions. And google is also your friend.

What are you supposed to check off or install so that when you are using a theme the top clock portion with date etc. isn't cluttered by the first row of apps?
Like on the blackberry themes...when I use them, my first row of apps covers the INFO on the top so it does not look clean like the people who have the theme here...what do I have to mod?

With the theme that require this, you will get like 12 webclips in the folder that have blanks 100% seethrough icons so place them in the correct location on your phone (check the thread on macthemes2.net for more details) and the position them at the top of each springboard and this will create a blank row on icons at the top.

Yes Homescreen is free
As you can see from my homescreen you can edit out the tap to unlock, all the answers are in the thread I posted earlier
But off the top of my head: I think you just find private/var/stash/theme(random numbers)/homescreen_2.0/bundles/com.apple.telephonyui
delete the com.apple.telephonyui
But don't quote me on that and if you do it make damn sure you have a backup first
