Hey,

I'm always interested to see what condition your products are in whether they be MacBooks, iPads, Iphones or iMacs. May not appeal to everyone if you have any damaged products post a picture and explain how then ended up like that, you never know someone may be able to offer some advice.

Happy Posting!

Interesting topic!

My Apple iMac is - especially for its age - in a perfect condition.
The aluminum foot has some scratches, sure, but there aren't any dead pixels and the plastic edge is almost completely smooth.

The Apple Aluminum Keyboard is only a month old... enough said.

The Apple Wireless Mighty Mouse is already a few years old, but everything (including the 360° scrollball) is working fine.

My Apple PowerMac G4 has a few irregularities and scratches in the sidepanels.

thats good then guess i should really add mine;

1. iMac 4 weeks old this week perfect condition
2. MacBook pro 2010 - One chip just below the keyboard glass coaster fell on it at a friends house  had to learn to live with it
3. iPad 1st Gen - Perfect condition
4. iPhone 4 - Again perfect condition

No new Apple products lined up for me for a while happy with all of these best thing too is they last for ever :)

MacBook Pro (mid 2010) - two tiny dings in it but otherwise flawless

iPhone 4 (Launch Day) - One tiny scratch on the metal band (F&#K YOU Case Mate and your crappy Jett Case)

iPod Nano (6th gen) - flawless

My MBP from 2010 is flawless. It's been in a hardshell case since the day I got it.

My keyboard and mouse are flawless because they have only been out of the box for like a week.

My 1st gen iPod touch doesn't work anymore. The screen stopped working so it has been sitting in a drawer for about a year.

MacBook Pro - tiny chip on the edge of the bottom case and a bigger one on the edge of the lid, Enter key only registers when pressed at the top and display makes a loud clicking noise when opened, two of the rubber feet have came off the bottom.

Need to take it back to the Apple Store as the genius said it needs the display replaced and a new bottom cover plus will get the keyboard looked at.

iPad 2 - Perfect

iPhone 4 - Perfect

The only electronic I own that is semi-applicable towards the OP is:

A first gen Zune-it has a few screen scratches but no body scratches (no chrome! :D) but sadly it's broken anyways. :(

Mac mini - Perfect
iPhone 4 - Perfect
Magic Mouse - Perfect
Magic Trackpad - Perfect
Wireless Keyboard - Perfect
iPod touch 1G - Perfect
Apple TV - Perfect
MacBook Pro - has a slight compression/ ridge on the casing by the power button. This is even though it was in a computer backpack, a neoprene sleeve, and a Speck SeeThru satin. Backpack went off-balance and fell 4 feet. Was pretty pissed about that. Other than that small imperfection (that is really only visible in direct light or feeling around) it's pristine.

iMac 20" - perfect condition
Mac Pro 5,1 - perfect condition
iPhone 3G - good condition
iPhone 4 - visually good, but in terms of operation - a few crashes here and there
iPod with video 5G - good condition. Still have boxes for all of them.

This thread would be a lot nicer if people posted pictures showing the actual condition of their products. after all it's is in the picture gallery. just an advice ;)

All of them are perfect:

MBP 2011

Ipod nano 3.1

Ipod Classic 6th gen

Bluetooth Keyboard

Imac 7.1

iMac- Perfect condition not a scratch had it just over a week.

MacBook- Couple of hairline cracks on the top by the back hinges- bugs the hell out of me- not much else as it's in a Speck case.

iPod Touch- Perfect as the day it was born.

iPod Nano- Few scratches but I use this when running dancing etc so it's to be expected and I'm not overly bothered about the Nano.

iPhone4- few tiny scratches from when it was naked but only on the back.

iPhone 3Gs in perfect state, besides some very little scratches in the back because of sand between the sleeve and iPhone.

Magic Mouse and Apple Alu keyboard in perfect state.

iPod Classic which has the common scratches on the alu back.

MacBook that had a hairline crack in the top case. The APR in Belgium fixed it without any problem. But some days after the replacement of the top case a (hairline) crack in the back which measure around 20 cm (the length of the hinge) and very small cracks appeared. The reseller didn't change the bottom case although I went to the shop within the 2 years warranty (declared by Europe)

list of hardware i currently own/still have:

Airport Extreme Base Station (first 802.11n version) - scratches on top, but functioning beautifully after almost 4 years of service

iPhone 8GB - broken lower black cover (kid droppage)
iPhone 3G 8GB - lower half of screen died, otherwise cosmetic scratches on plastic back is it
iPhone 3GS 32GB - completely destroyed. it had been living with a broken screen (again kid droppage), but in a fit of complete blind anger, i threw it... it's in many parts in it's original packaging
iPhone 4 16GB (wife's) - pristine. she keeps it in her hand or the little pocket in her purse.

macbook pro - a couple of damaged (dented) spots due to handling by TSA, and the trackpad doesn't work well anymore (again, kids), but otherwise functioning beautifully after almost 3 years.

iPod nano 4th gen 8GB - pristine condition. it remains in a fabric case connected to my car stereo in an otherwise empty glovebox.

ipod nano 3rd gen 8GB (wife's) - typical scratches on the polished back from normal use

magic trackpad - pristine, i don't let anyone else use it

mighty mouse - for 6 years old, it's doing ok. scroll ball has it's days, and it's pretty scratched up, but tracking etc is still as good as it was the day i bought it

apple keyboard (white keys, clear outside) - aside from scratches and the dirty factor, perfect.

This is a PICTURE GALLERY forum. Not an "explain what your item looks like in detail" forum. o_O

iMac - 2 years old but still in good condition no scratches and still runs like new.

MacBook Pro - Some scratches on the top. Protective case is starting to peel...

iPhone - Still in as new condition, case cracked though when I dropped it once. Still did it's job though, in taking the damage instead of the iPhone.

iPad 2 - Only a month old. Still in new condition.

Keyboard/Magic Trackpad - Still in new condition, no scratches.

I wonder why are you posting this under Picture Gallery if they do not want to post the photo of condition of your products??

I did not notice this dent already there when I bought it few months ago.

-Mid-2009 17" MacBook Pro with no physical damage. It is in brand new condition and I've used it every day since I got it in December '09

-iPhone 4 is also in perfect condition; no cracks or scratches. Never been dropped and is currently sporting the caseless look :)

-The silver paint on my Magic Mouse is chipping where my thumb holds it on the left side of it. The right side is doing the same thing:

-My wired aluminum keyboard is in new condition.

MacBook Pro: ALMOST mint, just a tiny scratch on top and like two 1 cm sized scratches on the bottom.

iPhone: Like new with the exception of a small crack in the bottom back of the case, which I guess happens a lot on that model iPhone.

iPod: Looks like it's been through a war, but she runs like a champ.

iPad: Mint, been in a case sense day 1.

PC: Mint. =) Doesn't leave the desk :p

Only thing damaged is a very tiny dent on my MacBook Pro lid that can only be seen when the light hits it right. It happened last winter when I was leaving my house. I stepped off my porch onto a patch of black ice and fell flat on my ass. I did everything I could to save the MacBook. Thankfully it was in a neoprene sleeve or else the outcome would have been devastating.

All Immaculate

I put this down to 1) I live alone, have no pets, and all my friends are IT literate enough to not do stupid things.

2) I NEVER EVER, have coffee, beer or food anywhere near my stuff.

Paranoid? maybe, and anyone can accidentally drop something, but so far so good :)
