I have one of those measuring cups and I LOVE it! Just about everything from OXO is first rate.
Yes, I like their stuff. Love their potato peeler, best I've used.
Maybe you know this already, but you can cut off a piece of one of those shelf-liners and put it under your cutting board to prevent it from sliding around.

But then I can't get a fancy new cutting board!

I want to be home instead of Afghanistan so I can watch my niece and nephew grow up.

Just a little over 3 months left....

These are probably the two things I want most - a white Barcelona chair for my bedroom and a Samsung plasma, but I think I may just have a low key Christmas and not really get any presents. I'm between projects, trying to save some money, and I don't want my family getting me anything.

But it's fun to window shop.

we are doing a very small christmas this year so i just asked for a couple of algebra books to help with my programming. never needed it much until I got into 3d.

Two great ones for 3D are right here:

http://www.amazon.com/Primer-Graphics-Development-Wordware-Library/dp/1556229119/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1321134636&sr=8-1

And this one (make sure to do the Math Primer first though!)

http://www.amazon.com/Mathematics-Programming-Computer-Graphics-Third/dp/1435458869/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1321134675&sr=1-1

Those, along with a good Linear Algebra book (the dummies series is actually really good) will have you sailing through 3D in no time :)

Any place but here or there....
all I want

is my mom and sisters to be healthy and happy.

I'm grateful for my health and situation (job etc.).

Gift?

Maybe I will ask for that multi-region blu ray player, but really I'll be more than happy if my family are in a good way.

I'm looking to get my hands on this stuff

iPhone 4S 32GB
almost sure I'll get this for Christmas, and send my 3GS to a well deserved retirement ;)
step0-iphone4s-gallery-image3.png

Bose Quietconfort 15 headphones, even though I think that since I'll be getting the iPhone, I'd settle for a less expensive pair of noise-cancelling headphones
(Do you guys have any suggestions bout that?)

Nikon 50mm 1.8G lens

I'm most likely to get the lens earlier though :)

I don't have any suggestions for other noise-cancelling headphones, but I absolutely love my QC15 headphones!

If $$ is an issue with the espresso machine, look at DeLonghi's less expensive machine. It's lee than $100, does everything the pictured machine does, and makes great espresso!:D

ahah yeah I know that they're great, I've tried them out a couple of times and the noise cancellation is absolutely fantastic, and they're very comfortable too, but I was just concerned about the price since I'll be spending almost 700€ for the iPhone (I'm going for the factory unlocked 32GB) Oh well, maybe I'll save some more money  would you suggest going for them instead of a cheaper model?

[Bose Snip]

I'd simply suggest you try a few good brands before you shell out good money on those things. The sound is alright, not the best, and from what I hear (lol!) they don't last so long. Still, that depends on how well you pamper your stuff and how often it's used.

:)

I've not tried the Bauer's on yet so need to see how they feel. Just entry level nothing overly flash for me.
