Bose Quietconfort 15 headphones, even though I think that since I'll be getting the iPhone, I'd settle for a less expensive pair of noise-cancelling headphones
(Do you guys have any suggestions bout that?)

bose-quietcomfort15.jpg

I think it depends on what you're looking for on a pair of headphones. I have those and I love them, I got them mainly for the noise canceling and because they feel really comfortable. But if you're picky about the sound (I'm really not) there are probably other options you can look into.

But I'll never dare ask my parents for it. I havent asked for anything for Xmas for the last 5 years.

Oooo I'd like skates too. Maybe I will tell my Mom that since she's still bugging me about Christmas ideas even though I told her I only wanted that ZBrush book.

Nikon D7000 body only - although with the flooding Thailand I don't think this is going to happen in time for the holidays.

There's more like an areon Chair etc but these are what I want most besides the usual iTunes gift cards etc.

An all-inclusive on a sandy beach.

I'm just going to have to wait until February.

Do you really want over the ear? If you are open to in-ear, i'd get the Klipsch Image x10i's.... they are "noise isolating" not noise cancelling, but they are excellent headphones imo.

If you want to save money and want over the ear get these:

I would also recommend checking out Engadget's recent holiday gift guide: headphones for other ideas.

I don't really want anything except a cheapo tablet. I hope I can get one of those BlackBerry PlayBooks for $199, since the price is dropping soon. I love the UI. Better than iOS or Android, though I've never tried a WebOS tablet. :) Too bad the Kindle Fire doesn't exist in Australia.

I don't really want anything. What I want to do is give my parents a 50" (or bigger) LED TV for around $1300-1500. From what I've seen, I think I'd prefer a Samsung LED TV over anything else. The screen just "pops".....like the characters are a bit 3D or something. It really depends on how much money I have, and what type of sales are on when I'm home. ;)

If there's an HHGregg near you, they usually have pretty nice deals on larger LCD TV's.

I've not tried the Bauer's on yet so need to see how they feel. Just entry level nothing overly flash for me.

FWIW, I have difficult feet. Aside from them being big for a girl they're flat. Bauers are the only skates that did not give my shins a feeling like someone was jabbing a large nail into them. I used to play on both sport court and ice and found them comfortable. GL with them. They're nice skates.

Also FWIW, I have played hockey since I was 5 years old, throughout college, etc. - Bauer is the only brand I have ever worn - Extremely reliable, built well and comfortable. There are other nice brands out there, but Bauer is surely a great product.

Thanks for the feedback, I am highly appreciative.

I tried on the Bauer One20's yesterday and had plenty of room up the front (width wise and perhaps too much) the rear pinched a little and were no where near as comfortable on my feet as the Eastons were. So I think I'll be going (well asking) for the Eastons, having them on for 20 minutes and having no pain or feeling of relief when taking them off was a good sign.

My wife has relatively flat feet as well, she tried on Reeboks, Bauers, Eastons and also Grafs and out of all four she only liked the Grafs. The Reeboks (and I'll agree) are uncomfortable, the Eastons for her had too high an arch support, the Bauers were ok, but she loved the Grafs, they fit well and she had them on for a good 30 minutes standing and walking around in the shop.

Being in Australia we have a) inflated prices and b) limited range available at the dedicated skate shops which is a shame, but thumbs up to the sales guy (an avid Hockey Player from Canada) who spent over an hour with us going through options.
