Post your 2006 Summer Beach Pics

Do you want "Summer 2006" beach pics or "July 2006" beach pics?

Most of my '05/'06 summer beach photos went kaput in a HDD failure, I'll post a few of the ones still left on Flickr (only 800x600 though). I got a new flashy digital camera today so tomorrow morning I'll go get some pictures of the inclement July beach weather.

This coming summer ( '06/'07 ) should be a ripper for beach photos now that I have a decent camera. Hopefully come August I'll have some good photos from my trip down to the snow (if there is snow - crap season so far although it's starting to feel like winter again).

Here are three I took sometime around January or February early in the morning. Glorious summer morning it was.

I took this one last Thursday – the beach at Scheveningen, The Hague. Englandshire's a couple of hundred miles straight ahead.



As you might be able to tell, it was a bit choppy that day.

Hah. My dad drove those boats in the Navy back during Vietnam. If he saw a picture like that, he'd digress into an hour long story of how they stormed some beachhead and he maneuvered the ship out of 3 inch deep water...!

I haven't gotten around to very many beach pictures, but I took the attached ones from our boat off of Provincetown, MA. I have many others of this scene, and a lot more of boats, but if you want beaches in it, these are two of the better ones.

I just got back from the Cape. Great weather until the day I left.

Be prepared for cold water and fog though. It's not always foggy... and there are waves sometimes, plenty of surfers.
