Maxed out the RAM.
Very nice, I've been resisting the urge to put the El Capitan beta on mine. If it's your main OS, how is it working out for you?

This latest beta has been a lot more stable than the previous one. I have a few lagging issues with continuity/hand off. Such as when I answer my iPhone it will still continue to ring on my iMac. I also started running a virtual machine using Parallels with Windows 10 and no problems with that as of yet.

My new-to-me Early-2011 13" MacBook Pro. Bought it in excellent condition from my employer for a ridiculous price. Added a 250GB Samsung 850 Evo, and it flies.

Might upgrade to the El Capitan beta; I'm running that on my 2010 Mini now and it seems to work well, although I haven't used it for anything heavy yet. Actually, just for fun, here's that system:

After trying it out on an external hard drive and finishing a project, thought I'd give El Capitan a go as my main OS. Installed the public rather than developer beta on the basis that the public beta may be more stable as it's for the public, but I think they're exactly the same, just the public betas come out later :p Oh well.

It's been fine so far, and the split screen has actually been really useful. I've found myself a few times now wishing there was an easy way to put two windows side-by-side. Probably the only feature on Windows I would've been happy to see directly copied by Apple. Apple's implementation is good, but not quite as quick as Window's Aero Snap (which is strange, as it's usually the other way around).

I got my first job and worked 48 hours a week all summer to buy this, my first Mac :). I've been using it for a few weeks and I'm very very happy with it.

Congrats! I know the feeling, I did the same when saving up for my first new Mac in 2007, a 15" MBP. It's been a steep hill ever since! What are you planning to do with it?

I'm planning to use it to learn swift and build apps with swift. I'll also be using it for video editing.
