It's a kit - ie a 1GB and 2GB SODIMM in a retail box.

You're right about the About This Mac shot. I haven't been able to get OSX or BSD running without problems on this machine yet. BSD should be easy, I must have done something wrong.

the About This Mac SS just looks odd, not the normal font thus why i was confused.

there are ALOT more hackintoshes running around here these days..
