did you do some tests about 12GB (Triple Channel) VS 14GB (Dual Channel)?

I needed more memory to support multiple concurrently running virtual machines and I had the original 1GB sticks sitting in a closet. 14GB of dual channel is better than 12GB of triple channel and paging memory to disk.

Just upgraded the HDD and RAM yesterday on my 2007 MBP (pre Santa Rosa), only 3GB of RAM is being utilized.
