I tried UCCW, and for the life of me, I cannot get the same results as you. I was wanting to make a similar style screen. I gave up and walked away from it. Yours looks really nice.

Thanks! UCCW takes a lot of work and playing around with. It was a trial and error sort of thing with me until I finally got this. There are some great UCCW clocks and skins on the Play Store.

Not sure about the basketball (might just be a shortcut to ESPN or something with a custom icon). But the widget is just the Google Now widget and the icons look like Holo icons.

Correct me if I'm wrong though.

Correct on the icons and widget - the basketball icon is part of the notifcation system in ParanoidAndroid - basically like the Facebook chatheads design.

That looks pretty sweet. I like the HTC One but I'm not sure I could ditch iOS for Android. Is it worth it?

I really love his homescreen as well! I also have a HTC One. I've never had an iPhone but I have had multiple other iOS devices. I'd recommend testing it out at a store and simply playing around with it. Android is great but you won't have some applications you would normally use on iOS. I personally love the Android OS and feel it is the best for me. I'd be happy to answer any questions you might have about the One or Android in general.

I really love the stability of iOS but it just bothers me that one has to "jailbreak" their iOS to customize it like one can customize Android. On another thread I was just one I saw some awesome jailbroken iOS screenshots with some cool customization. it would be nice if Apple let us customize the UI any way we want without jailbreaking.

I was a bit apprehensive, having been an iPhone user since the beginning. Tons of questions about how to sync my data, what about iTunes music, are all my favorite apps on Android? I had a friend who has been on Android for a couple of years; I bugged the living crap out of him.

In the end, I just decided to go for it. It all worked out. I got all my stuff on there and everything works ok. The biggest plusses for me were a bigger screen and unbelievable flexibility and customization options.

So yes, it was worth it. Though if Apple opens up iOS a little and makes an iPhone with a bigger screen, I'd come back.

Nero Wolfe hit the nail on the head. Personally, I love the customization and the uniqueness of each and every Android homescreen. You simply can't get this amount of customization on iOS.

I got tired of the bars, I went for a much more minimal approach to this homescreen. To avoid having any icons on the desktop, I have setup multiple dock pages with all of my daily and most used applications. I'm thinking about rooting and installing something with a lot more customization regarding the status bar in particular. The only thing holding me back is Beats Audio. I know it's only EQ and there is probably an alternative, but my phone is my daily audio player and I have begun to love the Beats Audio EQ. Enough of my babbling.

The second page is still a work in progress. I finally found a good calendar widget, but I need to figure out what else to add.

Are those stock HTC icons or something you downloaded? They look great.

Does Google try to lock it's users into their services like Gmail and Google+?? I don't care for any of those. I ditched my YouTube account cause when I signed up for a new one Those services were pushed on me and I didn't want any of them.

You need a Google account (aka a GMail address) to have active syncing services for contacts, device & app settings, and to download/purchase apps. You have to choose to activate Google+. You can also disable any or all types of syncing in your account settings, but obviously contacts/email settings, etc. are important ones to have.

It's no different than having an Apple account for iTunes and iCloud.

I guess. But with an Apple account I can use any email address I want. Plus I don't need an Apple account to sync contacts, Safari bookmarks, music, movies etc. To purchase stuff yes but not to simply sync stuff.

It's really not a huge deal. You can deactivate GMail sync, disable the app, anything you want to do to avoid using it, and it can still automatically sync your contacts and data. Though I don't know why you wouldn't, everyone and their grandmother uses GMail; it still is and probably always will be the best webmail experience.

Under any Google account I have on my phone, it allows me to check or uncheck the following:

App Data
Auto Backup
Calendar
Chrome
Contacts
Drive
Gmail
Google Photos
Google Play Books
Google Play Magazines
Google Play Movies & TV
Google+
Keep
People details
Tasks

Since I do use Gmail, Documents, Keep, etc., I have basically everything checked except for Google Photos, Google+ and the Google Play stuff (since I don't buy any digital download stuff). Everything else is run-of-the-mill.

You could technically un-check everything. And I do believe there are apps and utilities available for offline-sync, if you're really adamant about it. As well as apps for full offline backups.

Well I wouldn't want to backup to Google Servers. Just like I don't want (or care) to use iCloud. I like backing up to my Mac. The less "big brother" the better. I only have one email address which is Yahoo and that's all I need. I have no need for Gmail or any other second email address.

For now I'm gonna stick with iPhone cause I just put down $300 for a used 4S on Kijiji to replace my previous broken one. Maybe in a year if I want to upgrade I'll see what's out there. I just like that syncing my iPhone to my Mac is a seamless experience. Doesn't seem like it would be with Android to Mac.

Yes! The wall is here and the clock is here. The clock is for UCCW widget, put the uzip on your sdcard and open it with uccw. From there you can put it on your homescreen. Enjoy. [The clock is from a pack called calmness found on an Android customization blog]

They are not stock icons, they are called flatro and can be downloaded from Google Play.

Haha oops. Just realised I quoted the wrong person for the icons. It was directed to Nero Wolfe. Thanks for the widget though! :)

Been very inspired by the nice work by the folks in this thread. Here's my latest setup:
