Condition: Replace Soon.
Here is what Apple say regarding what a 'Battery Cycle' is:Can someone tell me what one charge cycle is?
Like someone on page1 of this thread has 1076 charge cycles, what the hell does that mean? His battery died 1076 times???
And Im reading thru all of these posts but I still dont understand... should I not leave the charger in 24/7? How exactly does this battery business work?
PM me, if Im breaking some sort of annoyance rule here
About Battery Cycles
A charge cycle means using all of the battery’s power, but that doesn’t necessarily mean a single charge. For instance, you could use your notebook for an hour or more one day, using half its power, and then recharge it fully. If you did the same thing the next day, it would count as one charge cycle, not two, so it may take several days to complete a cycle.
Well if you go through one full charge cycle a day, every day, you'll reach 1000 cycles just shy of 3 years. If you go through a full cycle every two days, it'll take you around 5.5 years. Thanks!
Any estimate on how long the "life" of 1000 charge cycles is?
2-3 years?
23 months? Apple will replace that I think you'll find, I'd take it in and get them to test it, the policy unless it's changed was that a battery failing to retain 80% of charge inside a year will be replaced free of charge. Take it in now while you have the chance.
I'm at 87% health , 31 cycles.
Is that bad?
