I dunno if it's my best, but it was a nice solution to a problem. I wanted to get a shot of the Dome at night from my daughter's dorm area, and all I had was the G9. I found a tree, and wedged the camera inbetween a couple limbs, and got this:

While at the game, I was lucky enough to anticipate the shutter lag and got this:

Mayo clinic shot with a Nikon Coolpix 885 (yuck!). 3 MP and it had all the faults of Nikon point-and-shoots (horrible menus and less-than-stellar image quality compared to rivals. As much as I love my Nikon DSLR, their P&S offerings have always been lacking in my opinion). For all that, I'm still happy with this image.

Nikon Coolpix S3 (better than the 885 but still frustrating in many ways).

From my China May-2005 trip. Captured via picture while taking video.
I paid this guy virtually nothing and watched him build my daughter a pair of shoes.
Which she has outgrown but keeps because they are her "China" shoes, made not by some faceless person but someone who is real and captured.

Nice - would've been better, IMO, without the streetlamp, and on a Canon P&S instead... ;)

(had the same issues when after getting my first Canon P&S which broke and then I replaced it with a Nikon. I had to run out and buy a Canon after using the Nikon a bunch of times...)

Funny how tastes differ. I like the shot specifically BECAUSE of the streetlight in shadow.

I took this several years ago in Napa Valley using my Nikkon E885. I think it was a 3.2 MP point and shoot. I literally got out of my car and pointed it across the highway and snapped the shot. Makes me wish I knew more about photography!
