Thanks so much! Being a Chicago boy - I love your skyline pics...

Such nice quality from a P&S - the larger sensor is the way to go...

My cheap P&S (Canon A470) I get good results mainly outside, but I cheat and use it in manual mode at ISO80.

Here is a couple, Not a big fan of the 14-42mm lens I must say, am swapping it for the 17mm f2.8 as soon as its available.

Yes, I took my kit 14-45 lens out with my E-420 and the kit lens is good for some stuff, hardly a contest compared to the 25mm Carl Zeiss I rented...

Tell me how the PEN Pancake lens goes - I've been eyeing the 25mm one...

BTW: I hate you... ;)

Wow. All of these are stunning and I can't wait until I can take shots like this. So far I'm still learning all the ropes but I'm getting there lol. I just picked up my higher end P&S earlier this summer. It is a Kodak Easyshare Z1015IS. They are the higher end of the P&S category, they are mega-zoom (15x), have full manual controls as well as automatic, 10MP, & shoot 720P video. I love it lol, here are a few of my beginner shots:

This is one of the 4 rabbits my family is currently raising.

Here is a flower growing outside my house, if anyone can tell me what kind it is please do because I can't figure it out lol.

Yesterday we had a thunderstorm here & I saw water dripping from the gutter onto the porch rail. I grabbed my camera and caught these, the first one looks rather like a firework going off dontcha think? lol. The second one I had just about perfect timing & it turned out perfectly.

Note that all of these are completely unedited in Photoshop, all I did was compress them to save bandwidth on my Sprint Aircard. Also, these are not full size, this is just the largest Picasa will let me post. There are really 3648×2736 instead of the 800x800 Picasa lets me link to.

Hi. I picked up a Panasonic Lumix FS-15. These are the best so far. Coming from a film background, this will take some getting used to. The wide shot of the tree has Levels adjustment, but the others are from the camera.

For some reason they aren't showing over here, but considering your other pics I bet they are really great :D

Edit: hmm weird, right after I posted they showed up even though I refreshed the page multiple times  Guess it has something to do with all the updates I'm downloading right now for my old MacBook in combination with the mega slow internet over here in Spain.
And that dog picture is really awesome! Proves the point that a good photographer can take good pictures with (relatively) crap hardware :p

Thanks... actually, they stopped showing up for me too... so I went and changed the link code to display the 800px versions instead of the 1024px versions. Picasa is a bit strange, sometimes...

Here are a few that I took in the Black Hills of South Dakota. The day was pretty cloudy and not the best for picture taking, but they look pretty good. I have a Kodak Z1485 IS 14 megapixel P&S camera.

Would've been such a great photo if i would've had a better camera. Taken with some dinky camera my friend had on him (i don't even know what brand). You could actually physically see the fog rolling in, about 10 minutes later the skies were all grey and icky. but god i love northern California
