My grandparents have two boats. One is a 25' Grady White with two 225 (?) hp Yamaha engines. I've never set foot on the boat.

The other is a Fortier 26 that was just given to my uncle as my grandfather has been having serious health issues lately. Sadly, the boat is not in the water this year (weird to see it shrink wrapped and out of the water as I'm used to going out numerous times per week during the summer) although it may be reactivated late this year to run down the east coast when it is moved to my uncle's private dock. If not, she'll be back next year and the interstate trip will happen next year. Power is provided by one 225 horsepower Volvo marine diesel. When the boat was in the water, I was the main captain and hopefully will still take the helm on occasion in the future.

So we did manage a short adventure on, the now named, Little Metis. A three day sail around the Firth of Clyde. Some challenging weather but all calm on the final day for a stop off at Cumbrie for lunch.

Farther, more adventurous, trips are planned.

This was just like it, Cal 25 sail boat or as most boats are, the toilet in which I flushed my cash down.
I have however had a great time and would buy another boat, I miss the water.

I believe it is still docked at Dana Point Harbor in CA.

It's quite hard to take a picture of your boat with the sails up when you're on it! Cant do that in the slip either.

Do you get sea sick when you are on a small boat? I bet it would bob up and down constantly while on sea.

17 Aqusport

17 ft Aquasport (1972) with an Evinrude 140. The motor needs some tweaking now and then but it just keeps going and going and going.
