I've probably checked out half this thread by now and there's a load of really nice pictures (as well as some pretty crappy ones that look like haggis, but let's not dwell on that). Being a bit interested in photography myself I'm really curious as to what camera was used for the photos and if any artificial light was added. I bet the iPhone is by far the most common, but it would be interesting to see how its pictures holds up to those, if any, that are shot with a point and shoot or even an slr.

For the next poster, would you mind indicate what hardware you use? maybe we can get a new custom going...

i use a couple diff cameras but if i wanna take a nice clear photo to post later on my blog or FB or sumfin, i usually use my Canon 5D Mark II or III... lens varies, can be 50mm f/1.4, 100mm f/2.8L, 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II etc...

lighting is tricky as u can't really set up light umbrellas etc. before u sit down to eat... i have a couple external flashes but tbh the best thing u can do is sit next to a window if u r having brunch/lunch or ask for a dinner table that is well lit...

I've got to find a good ramen place to go to in L.A. I've been back 3 months and always forget to find one. They did not exist as far as I knew in Dallas.
