My "clear out the pantry/fridge" fried rice. Had to use up some red onion and eggs. Garlic and turmeric for spices.

My not from Guam (Taiwan born, Argentinean raised) wife made me red rice with finadene. Really great with Argentinean style entraña (skirt steak)! Love how cultures collide! Home is where the heart is ??

Last night's dinner, crispy duck leg on brioche.

No pictures, but yesterday, I had a delicious Eggs Benedict (or Eggs Royale), in essence, poached eggs with Hollandaise sauce, on toasted muffins, along with smoked salmon, a side salad, and - to my surprise - the dish also arrived with a small helping of patates braves.

Had sushi at Uchi in Austin. That night mode never ceases to amaze!

Very late night Shabu Shabu at Orange in Taipei. One of the most popular Shabu Shabu places for Hot Pot in Taipei. They got great beef here. Open until 1:00 am for walk-ins and then close at 2:00 am. In California they would be closed by 10:00 pm.

Apart from the fact that my repast was served with smoked salmon instead of ham, and that patates braves also featured on the plate, this very closely resembles the delicious meal I was served yesterday.

All you can eat shabu shabu at Manna in Dallas. It’s definitely the season for it

Lunch in Thighland ?

Fish here is quite good and so is the lamb. Best of all it is cheap Compared to California. Fish is grilled with a lemon and butter like sauce which has red onions in it which comes on the side

Congee for lunch in Hong Kong today. Of all the places I have had congee in I reckon Hong Kong makes the best congee. Some chicken and noodles to go along with it.

Seriously I can smell this after my mediocre supermarket "tuna wrap sandwich." Asia has an amazing variety of dishes that look as good as they taste.
