Josh: you cat is absolutely beautiful! second most beautiful cat I've seen...next to my black cat of course.
I will try and get some photos up, his name is Tupelo [as in "tupelo honey"]
Thanks! I really miss him - he was probably the most intelligent cat I've ever met (as funny as that sounds).
I found him and his identical twin brother as kittens left on the side of the road. The whole way home, he curled up on the dash above the steering wheel, made me laugh pretty hard at how comfortably he rode.
If I made a sound, he'd mimick it, he'd constantly be pawing at door knobs, etc..
His brother got stuck in a tree once, and it took us forever to get him down (the tree was SOOO high - we needed trucks and ladders...it took a long time), and he got very sick after that. I don't know if it was from being up there so long, being scared, or both. He died shortly after.
Amigo grew up pretty healthy, except he was shot at some point by someone (pretty sure it was my mean neighbor). It just missed his tailbone, and he lived, but had a hobbled walk ever since - didn't slow him down a bit.
He kept staying outside longer and longer, and eventually he just didn't come back. Hopefully he's ok, which I tend to think. I don't think something bad happened; I sort've predicted he might run away once he began staying outside for 12+ hours at a time and never coming to the door.
Anyway, that makes me kinda sad.
Can't wait to see your cat! and all the other cats people have. Cats are hilarious, so curious all the time, and eager to be affectionate. I love them
