Where the heck is Nike Animal Resuce Foundation.
Here is more of my cat Mia. She is such a lap cat.
It's an organization. I don't know if they have a main office or anything like that-- but they often hold adopt-a-kitten/dog events on weekends at local pet supply stores. That's where I got my babies (they were soooo tiny! When I technically adopted them, they were too young/small/sick to come home with me, I had to wait a week or so). Link to NARF here.

Oh. I actually thought that it somehow had something to do with NIKE the company. That would have been odd.

here's my little bugger:
Awww!!! So cute. My boyfriend has forbade me from checking out the local adopt-a-kitten fairs because I almost always end up in near-tears when I can't walk away with a kitten.

What a great picture!

I miss my cat a lot, she's back in new York with my Family. She's really old and I don't get to see her till August. This may sound morbid but I really hope she is still alive.

I mean, they already re-did my bedroom, and then no cat! :(

for some reason I cant get my picture to load.

So this iss temp.

^_^

Sorry.

I wonder if anybody knows any good tricks for photographing a black cat. I guess I'm just not a very good photographer, but I can never get any good pictures of my cat.

Does anyone out there notice or agree with the statement that "female cats don't like to be held" ??? Our female likes to cuddle, 'on her terms', if you quietly sitting she will curl up near you, but don't try and pick her up, like 'Baggie', you will have to have some blood replaced.

It all depends on the temperament of the cat, and how it was raised, cuddled and generally held and interacted with when it was young. Cases in point:
misty.jpg
My cat (Misty, left) was worked with a lot when she was little, and will comfortably sit on someone's lap or in their arms unless she really doesn't want to (which is not often).

zacksophie.jpg
My parents' cats, Zack & Sophie (Zack's on the couch) did not get as much attention when they were little thanks to an older cat who had to be the center of attention... 3 years after the older cat died, they're just now getting to the point where they'll sit on a lap, but still will not acquiesce to being held at all.

I don't know how you guys snap pics of your kitties when they're napping. My cat can sense any movement within a radius of 2 meters at least. Ok, that was an estimate, but he usually opens his eyes when I get close to him. Unless his REM-ing.
