Lol most of the speeds on here are so fast it's scary!

I'm trying to download World of Warcraft (around 10GB for the free version), and downloading it for a couple of hours each night, it'll probably take me a month! o.0

not so great as I'm on my laptop running 8 tabs keeping up with all my fantasy leagues and I'm outside on the deck.

im on my imac i5 with wifi , how big would it be the diference if id conect my imac with ethernet?

Not at all.

Speedtest measures how fast the router can download/upload. Not your actual computer itself.

Granted, some different devices do make it different, but only slightly.

You might gain about .75 mbps if you connect via ethernet.

Post a SpeedTest.net picture of your internet speed here

I currently have Comcast internet at this speed. PowerBoost makes it a little high, but that's the first burst of speed. The regular speed without PowerBoost is 12/2.

Speed of cheapest broadband option. Could get 100 Mbs if I wanted to pay more. 30 Mbs seems good enough for me.

sometimes the real real slow ones make no sense. some of the slower speeds people are paying for broadband and getting barely over telephone line speeds. I realize not everyone has new lines but if you dont have the lines for broadband you shouldnt be charging people for it. that just really bugs me. if its below 1Mbps you shouldnt be paying broadband prices.

How I wish for a decent broadband connection, but living in rural Scotland itt's pretty unlikely despite the promises of our Government.

Are all of these insane (over 50 mbps) speeds coming from FTTP? In Hawaii the fastest available at any cost is supposed to be 30 mbps but is really more like 20, and costs $100 per month. What are you guys paying for those manly connection speeds?
