I have Comcast Xfinity 50 Mbps down and 10 Mbps up.
I got updated early in July for $55/month.
Before I was paying $63/month for 25 Mbps down and 5 Mbps up.

I heard today that after certain amount of data is downloaded (not sure the number) they lower the speed to 30 Mbps down and 5 Mbps up.

Please also share how much you pay for the service, it helps to understand the market better.

Is there a speed test that lasts longer than the typical few seconds?

I would like to check if the speed is sustained over time.

Thanks

I have the same package and have never had my bandwidth lowered. I would say I download a fair bit more than the average person.

The best upload I can get with Fibre in ireland.

Even if you get a 200Mb download line, it's still capped at 10Mb upload at best.

Not bad for $30 a month!

100/4 over Fibre.

I would prefer faster upload speeds, but I think they cap this to stop people from seeding.

My connection isn't so impressive anymore when I try to access any US server such as this one:

How come speedtest always has my speed at 49ms and 2.78mbps and upload 2.08. I have time Warner turbo package but I go to testmy.net and see 21.7mbps?
