And here is my G4 MDD Dual 1.25GHz... my main Mac! Love this machine!

I see you have Skype....what version are you using and does it still work? I use my G4 iBook for work and that is one of the tools I am missing for work.

Thanks,
Sean

I would suspect that like most of us mikiotty is using the last version of Skype available for PowerPC Mac.

And the Microsoft answer to your question of "does it work" would be no.

However, the MacRumors, gavinstubbs found a workaround, answer to your question of "does it work" would be yes.

See here.

ALL my powermacs running leopard have Skype 2.8, it needs to be tweaked a bit it to keep working these days, but once you make the small change, it works fine.

I use the smallest/closest to plain gray as possible as my backgrounds on PowerPC systems - "Small Ripples graphite" in OS X, "Gray Space" in Mac OS 9. I figure: why waste memory on large images on old PowerPC systems?

Here is my eMac's DTB :)

A Mac OS Classic desktop to bring on either a feeling of nostaglia or a collective groan ;)

PowerMac 6500, Mac OS 8.1, max physical RAM @ 128 MB.

After reading the PowerPC stickie,
I decided to try a Compact Flash for a Mac Classic Boot Disk.
So, a $20 Kingston 233x 16 GB CF w/ a $8 ATA to CF adapter for this old PowerMac 6500.
The initial bootup doesn't seem so fast: ~ 90 secs.
But the apps bootup & responsiveness seem pretty fast.
If the CF wears itself out under Classic, so what...it was fun while it lasted ;)

For dry-heaves & giggles I included a screenie of an AOL 5 chatroom.
...yes...currently do-able with Mac OS 8.1,
but with none of the chatroom bells & whistles of member description, etc...whatever those may be today.
...& none of the AOL Channel links or Mac Proxy server for WWW surfing
work anymore.

Main boot partition is named Penelope as in "The Perils of Penelope" :)
Its TV Tuner is connected to a Tivax A to D converter for grainy-looking OTA broadcasts (not screenshot at the mo).

Panorma Part One

So…I was thinking, I've got six displays and a mishmash of desktops that kind of clash and don't really go together. And I have Photoshop…so why not try and make things look connected.

Here's the entire thing first and then each individual screen. And then finally how it looks from my iPhone's camera.

Still kind of disjointed, but it's a start and I have all the dimensions worked out now.

Here is mine, just finished finally getting all things sorted, it is a Apple pic from their Lion OS X, BUT I used photo editing software to turn his eyes green:

What Twitter client is that?

BTW, any chance you have the background?:)

Ahah, it's the web version of TweetDeck, made into a webapp with an application called Fluid. The icon is from TweetBot for Mac. :)

Here is the wallpaper :)
