50MB is pretty hefty for a wallpaper - don't forget you can crop to your screen resolution and drop to 72DPI which should bring it down to less than 2MB for a png. And forgive me if you know and have already done all this :)

I always downsize the pixel count to 72ppi for on-screen viewing. :)
And no need for apologies or forgiveness, it's awesome that people in this community pay attention to details like that... I love it! :D

Care to post this beautiful picture?

I'll package some up, and upload them onto DA probably. 'Probably' is referring to which site I choose, I'll get the photos up sometime this week, as I have some downtime. I also have some other edited versions of the ice macro photo, and other various treats. ;)

Alternose again?!

This made me LOL. The nose knows where the nose goes.

Don't ask me why I have Aperture and Logic Pro (instead of iPhoto and GarageBand). They just ended up there. It's not like i need them really...

I'm running the Mountain Leopard theme found here, but without the dock.

I can really recommend YouView for watching YouTube videos. Can be found here.

Here is my wallpaper on my 1.5GHz 15" PowerBook G4, still my daily laptop in school and sometimes at home, alongside my Retina MacBook Pro and my G4 QuickSilver (same wallpaper).

I'd like to add that's awesome to see someone still using Tiger as his main and only OS on a PowerPC machine. I love PowerPC and I love Tiger (even though I use Leopard mainly).

One of the many I have. I always use the same wallpaper folder on every one of my Macs. Been slowly adding to it for years now. :)

Sawtooth w/ OWC 1GHz upgrade

Bought this Other World Computing 1-GHz cpu upgrade years ago.
I think it cost ~ $220
Sawtooth was originally 400MHz.

IIRC the PC vid card was originally a 9700 non-Pro 128MB.
It shows up as a 9800 Pro in the ASP.
I used a PC to flash it for Mac.

A flashed Sil3112 SATA card
(per harrymatic instructions) connects a 149.5 GB drive (Partitioned).

Desktop Manager 0.5.3 freeware makes for multiple desktops
(the line-up of 4 rectangles plus its prefs icon just left of MenuMeters).

ffmpegx is crunching out a possible DVD image,
but whether I set up the configs correctly - only in many hours will I be sure

Tomb Raider 2013 screenshot makes the desktop. Love this game!
I play TR on Bootcamp in my beat-up MacPro 1,1 with a Radeon 5770
(Professionally flashed).
Unfortunately, my MacPro 1,1 suffered that fairly common issue of the
lower mobo RAM slot becoming defective causing random blackouts & reboots.
So now it just works with 2 x 2 GB RAM on the daughter card in the top slot.
