Can I just ask why you think Obsidian isn't as good? I'm using it at the moment, but would love to use Nocturne if it's better!

I use it too, but with lion you have to download Meridian instead of being able to use the date/time setting. and any apps that you have in the menu bar do not show unless you click on them. just a small flaw. also the battery only shows the icon, not the time or percentage.

Oh I see. I had that problem with the LogMeIn icon so I just modified it in the package contents.

Thing I don't like about Nocturne is that the colours when you click a menu are all inverted.

Out of interest, does anyone have a good site recommendation to get desktop pictures/wallpapers in 2560 x 1440? I'm about to take delivery of a Thunderbolt display this week, but options for good images at this size seem to be limited (unless I'm looking in the wrong place).

I downloaded iStat and I love it. For anyone who uses Obsidian this is the app to have if you want a better clock/calendar plus all your computer info. I only show my Network and consolidate everything else into a single drop down menu. I also downloaded Audio Switcher since at the moment I have multiple speakers for sound.

it took some tweaking with photoshop to get the icons I wanted but I finally got a Dock I like and will keep for a while.
