what a horrible app.

The problem is most people aren't using Nocturne for what it's originally designed for. The main purpose of the program is to invert your screen when you're in a dark room so the backlight doesn't blind you.

It's perfect for that, and even allows you to tint the white to whatever color you want. The one thing I've noticed is that Nerdtool restarts when I come have the screen return to daylight.

I don't particularly care for the option to invert the menu bar, so I have that turned off.
 
Going with the tropical, warm look to counter out the snow and cold.

I change my desktop a lot. every 15 min to be exact.
