If you're going to do this, it might be a nice idea to list what's in your dock along with the image.

Questions as to what certain icons are for are inevitable.

Mine is pretty much self explanitory (as to what I have) but listed left to right if you need/want to know...

  • Finder,
  • Mail,
  • Firefox,
  • Photoshop CS3,
  • iTunes,
  • iPhoto,
  • Time Machine,
  • iCal,
  • Messenger:Mac,
  • Downloads,
  • Applications,
  • Documents,
  • Trash.

And to save PM's, I got the Dock Drawers here (follow the link to the jap download site)

TRASH!!!!!!

Can you guys put a small description of the apps, at least those not so common. It would be nice for me since I'm waiting to buy my first mac and switch. This would give me an idea of some cool apps i may be looking for.

Thanks in advance!

QuickSilver!! Oh and Joe, Quicksilver is an application which is like spotlight but simpler.. Well, you can't exactly put it as being simpler but the difference is that QS is used to run applications that you frequently use or files and Spotlight is a search tool.

Basically... QS rocks.

So my dock. (Left -> Right)

Finder
Mail Application
Safari
Adium (Multi-Client IM, MSN, Yahoo, etc etc etc)
iTunes
System Preference
Spaces (Ctrl + Arrow sometimes messes up with games that involve moving + ctrl)
Stacks -- Torrents, Movies, Documents, iProof (TM Exclusion), Downloads, and Applications
Trash

EDIT: Changed my dock to a different layout using Terminal
defaults write com.apple.dock no-glass -boolean YES
killall Dock

I was getting of the old layout due to frontline.png missing (so it shows a reflection of the blue light) so until I find another black dock (the light blue with white makes the original dock kind of a design mistake) I'll be sticking with this one.

I know it's a quick... launcher. :)
