What you should do: keep the Document and download folders. Make application icons in the style of the flags of different states (i.e. California, New York, Mississippi). Yeah, a lot of work, but they'll kick butt!

Finder, Safari, Camino, iTunes, Pages, MacJournal, iCal, Ableton Live 8, Gruml, System prefs., Tweetie, Things, Transmission, Spotify, Mail, MacVim, Terminal, Virtual box, App folder, Download folder and trash

It changes all the time though really. I might just get rid of everything apart from finder, safari, iTunes sys prefs tweetie and gruml.

It's called Black Dock. There are two versions, Black Dock (the one in the screenshot of my dock), and Black Dock w/ white indicators.
