My dock has gotten much smaller since i moved to Tiger, mostly because of Spotlight. If a program is not in my dock, I just apple+space and type the name of the program. I don't have magnification turned on, too much eye candy for me.

I think you should show your whole desktop because with all those apps open, it much be completely filled. You much also have a 30" display because we are only seeing a small part of your screen because half of you iCal is cut off.

Oh, even better, you should share a picture of all those apps with Expose'.

Auto hiding on, with magnification.

I only keep the apps I use daily in there, the other stuff I either use through Dashboard (like Address Book and Stickies) or just launch through Quicksilver.

Is that a challenge? :D

Here it is. Scaled 50% because screenshot would be huge!

Possibly stupid question? How are you getting/calculating the scale?
I just didn't resize, so on my screen it's exactly the same size as my real dock.
Where's that resolution independent OS? ;)

I'll play...

Mine's always visible, no magnification, and if you click on the thumbnail you'll see it actual size (ooo!).

Most of my apps should be pretty easy to recognise, but in case anyone's in any doubt they are, from left to right... Finder, System Preferences, iTunes, iCal, iPhoto, Address Book, Mail, Safari, Adium, Quark XPress, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, Pages, Excel, Football Manager, The Sims 2, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic.

How did you get those blank spaces in your dock?

Oh, and here's a tip. You can get rid of System Prefs in your dock. It's already in the Apple Menu.

Awesome, I sure hope you opened all that just for the sake of opening it, there simply can't be a purpose to doing all of that at the same time. I'm actually surprised it would actually run all of that stuff like that....unless it is all paused/idle for a screenshot

On that dock image, how did you get the iTunes output to list the Hours/minutes instead of days? Mine shows # of songs, Days to play, GB of data for all content....how can I change the days to hours?

They're Blank Dock Separators from Max Themes – I just think they make my Dock a bit tidier and more organised. :)

Thanks for the link, I was wondering about those seperators as well. I knew I had seen them somewhere before, but couldn't think of it to save my life, thanks.

My dock is pretty normal I think. I have lately taken to switching out icons a bit, as well as just starting to hide things (I know, you either hate it or love it). An Asian theme is current save for the Penguin Finder just because I really like that one. Slight magnification seen in the second image. The last four are folders that contain Alias' to all of my most commonly used apps, seperated into Fun Stuff, Media Players, Productivity, and Utility.

Edit: After looking the magnification is actually quite extreme, probably 80% of the way over, I guess "slight" was a little off
