Well, here is my humble dock. Transparency on, my iTunes icon displays the current album art of the song playing (figured I'd use a recognizable album cover here ;) ) via a plugin. If anyone can guess the background image from that little segment they get an e-cookie.

Heres mine (macbook, 2GHz, 1 Gig ram) with everything open in expose- I do not reccomend doing this! Although I would like to see how quick it is with a Mac Pro, specced out, that would be sweet, and remove the usefulness of quicksilver. 2.jpg

hello. i have a really really really dumb newbie dock question. i just switched (havent even gotten the c2d mbp yet. hopefully oct. 30th, but for sure the 31st!) anyhow, is there a prefrence to make the dock brushed metal? i've played with the macs at my college's computer store, but i don't see anything other then where to put the dock, magnification, and icon size and that's about it. not even a transparency option! sry fo rthe dumb question. thanks in advance!

nope, no options for brushed metal or transparency. i know there are programs that can mess with that stuff for you, like clear dock.
