Perfect car..
Saw this in the newest Car and Driver...it looks amazing!
2010 Jaguar XJ
How can ANYONE like that car? Seriously. The current XJ looks like the new Ford Mondeo from the rear and a Korean/Japanese mad horror from the front. People only pretend to like it to show that they "support" the British car industry. Chances they will only get worse...
Have to agree. I haven't really liked the Jags in recent years. Even the XK looks like it has a Chrysler grill. How can ANYONE like that car? Seriously. Change it to a Ferrari F2004 for me.If I could take one of these for a hot lap, I'd be in heaven.
Looks like a chopped and dropped Mercury to me.Completely unrealistic (this car is a one-off concept car);
Fixed. Also known as the Vauxhall Monaro or the Pontiac GTO
Oh Man I have so many dream cars....i'll just post a few haha

The design is (loosely) based on the 1953 FJ Holden, an Australian motoring icon.Looks like a chopped and dropped Mercury to me.
dankeFixed.
I'm liking that Design. I cannot stand the old design of the Vanden Plus Jaguars. Besides, Jaguars from the last 20yrs have not been good enough to be considered classics or earn a mainstay design. This can get them there. By 2010/2014 I'm sure it'll look pretty cool in retrospect - the Cadillac CTS-V looks wicked but too many sharp edges, kill it for me.
An Elise for a daily driver? You're nuts man, those cars are so basic inside and can be somewhat uncomfortable to drive everyday. The M3, however, is a great choice. I do like the Elise those, great weekend car with pretty good gas mileage.
+1
The Elise is a great track car, but would seriously suck as a daily driver.
Have you even been in an Elise? It's very bare-bones and not meant to be a regular road-going car. Ingress and egress are difficult, the ride is hard and low, and any passenger you take will be very uncomfortable.ARe you kidding me? I'd love an elise as a daily driver. Nothing is more relaxing that having nothing in the car and just focusing on the road. As long as the seat is comfortable there is nothing wrong with it at all. I don't need the comforts of the M3 to have a good time on the road.
I'd have one of these.
But with the state TVR are in (does anyone know if they are still trading?) it's probably not possible if I could afford it.
Apparently TVR were launching a 600bhp Typhoon (not to be confused with the Typhon) but that was in 2007 and I only found out about that while looking for the 440R pic above.
TVRs although not the greatest build quality, are some of the best looking and highest performance cars on the road at reasonable prices too. The 440R pictured will go 0-60mph in 3.2 seconds and top speed is over 215mph and doesnt even top £100k. Shame they only made one because of the crap running of the business.

You will love it as a daily driver at first (for the exoticness of it), but will get tired of it very quickly. As a weekend/track car it's perfect -- it was never meant to be a daily driver. I know several people who have an Elise. None use it daily. There's a good reason for that.
Personally, I think the Elise is wasted if you aren't going to track it. That's where it shines. I'll keep my M3 -- that does double duty as a daily and track car very nicely. On public roads you won't get anything out of driving an Elise that you don't get out of an M3 without endangering others.
I agree with you on your comments about the car. It is a great car. But I personally could not drive it every day (maybe I'm just too old).To each his own I guess, I have been in an elise, and I love the feel of it, the simplicity. I could drive it every day and it would put a smile on my face. I guess that is what I look for.
The porsche would be gotten first and forehand though, as it is my #1 car ever, the GT2.
