I have a couple of Marc Newson Noritake mugs. They retain heat well and are quite stable.

Impulse purchase on some random shelf at the grocery store of all places, not cheap at $10 each IMO. Hard to see but the black one has speckles all over it, while the white one does not:
They are actually well made and nicely proportioned mugs, I must say.

Speaking personally, they wouldn't be my choice, but that is simply because I don't much care for Starbucks coffee.
I am a big procrastinator, so this is my wake up message every morning lol

Both of mine are Ivar's mugs but not because they're Ivar's mugs (although that place is great). The ceramic one is because it's comfortable to hold and super thick (like diner mugs) so it retains heat really well. That's important in an arid environment like in Colorado where heat dissipation it very fast.
The second is because it's blue cobalt glass. My parent's have glasses made out of blue cobalt and they're fairly rare to find. Love the color in the light.
